Heaven hosting best pay-per-view in eternity tonight

Heaven is abuzz with excitement today after the surprise announcement that a pro wrestling pay-per-view will be held in the Celestial Amphitheater tonight, featuring a main-event bout between “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes.
The event, titled Hardcore Hereafter, is expected to be the best professional wrestling pay-per-view in the history of existence (mind you, everything in Heaven is generally considered to be the best thing ever).
Piper burst through the Pearly Gates today accompanied by a full band of bagpipers and challenged Rhodes to a “Shangri-La Street Fight,” while billions of angels thrummed their harps in delight.
Rhodes, recently reunited with his beloved valet Sapphire, accepted the challenge: “Oh yeth, Lord have merthy” (to which the Lord, standing nearby, gave an enthusiastic thumbs-up).
Other matches on tonight’s Hardcore Hereafter event include:
Gorgeous George vs. “Adorable” Adrian Adonis
Randy “Macho Man” Savage (managed by Sensational Sherri) vs. the Junk Yard Dog
Andre the Giant vs. Mitsuharu Misawa
The Ultimate Warrior vs. Eddie Guerrero
“Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig vs. Owen Hart
Brian Pillman vs. “Ravishing” Rick Rude
The Fabulous Moolah vs. Mae Young (Lingerie Pillow Fight)
Gorilla Monsoon and Gordon Solie will provide commentary for the event, and the special guest ring announcer will be Connor “The Crusher” Michalek.
According to the event’s promoter, Vince McMahon Sr., Hardcore Hereafter will truly be, without exaggeration, the grandest stage of them all.

R.I.P. Hot Rod

I was thinking the other day when I watched that clip with Piper that he just didnt seem totally right. Something was off and it had nothing to do with what he said, but he just seemed like something wasnt right.

I remember watching WM 8 and seeing Piper wrestle Bret Hart and just being blown away and being so drawn into the psychology of the match. Just two amazing storytellers.

And what can anyone say about the Hogan/Piper feud? Really one of the greatest feuds of all time and it was great to see that Hogan and Piper had a great respect for each other and a friendship outside of the ring.

I wonder now, given all that has happened to Hogan recently, that when Hulk eventually passes on someday, will he be met with hate or be honored by the ones he leaves behind? I hope it is the latter as the good far outweighed the bad.

Rowdy Roddy Piper during his last days didnt endorse what he said but could see how the world was a little too sensitive on certain things. That's one of the things that Piper was always good at "seeing the bigger picture".

Thank you Hot Rod for making me realize that just when I thought I had all the answers, you changed the questions
