A 14-Year Old Student Opened Fire At His School, Killing Two People & Injuring Several Others

"Tragedy strikes a public school in Seattle

 

A 15-year old student, Jaylen Fryberg, opened fire in the cafeteria of his high school earlier today, injuring several people and killing two. One of the deceased is Fryberg, who was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

 

Early this afternoon, Komo 4 News reported that there were several shots fired in the cafeteria of Pilchuck High School, and that students and teachers were locked in the classroom as incoming authorities rapidly attempted to get the situation under control. Shortly after, CBS News reported the arrival of three injured people, one of whom was suffering from head trauma. At the time Fryberg opened fire, allegedly 50 to 60 people were in the cafeteria.

 

Shortly before 3pm, the Seattle Times reported that Fryberg was dead, the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and about an hour later, CNN reported that Frybergs actions were responsible for the death of a second person, who has yet to be identified. Later in the afternoon, it would be revealed that Frybergs actions were spurred by his being distraught over a girl who wouldnt date him.

 

Tweets sent out from what appears to have been Frybergs Twitter account tell an emotionally distressed story of their own. His parents have yet to make an official statement."

I get what the intention was. I still think it's a ridiculous statement.

 

I'm not ashamed of Christians who bash Muslims because they're (or rather call themselves) Christians. I'm sorry for Muslim victims who have to suffer because of extremists and I'm sad they have to suffer becauclose minded people who try to demonize their beliefs as a whole. The perpetrators beliefs don't matter. He did something awful and we should feel sorry for the people who had to suffer because of him. Hoping for him to not fuel some racist bastards hate speeches is actually pretty much the same type of thought process that causes the whole "All muslims are terrorists" bullshit. Feel sorry for victims because they're victims, feels sorry because something bad happened, not because of what idiots associate with the culprit. That's why discremantion of groups even exists in the first place.
