Muur
Abusable and there's been multiple cases in which the person who was killed was not the guilty party. For one example - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Bentley_case

Muur
Only for the worst crimes, such as terrorism, owning child porn or being a Sebastian Vettel fan. The porn one would be really easy to frame someone with but I guess that'd be the same as with putting them in jail but hey at least you'd be in jail and not dead If I went to your house and DLed a bunch of it on your CPU then went back home and then it's found on your PC, do you think they'd believe it's not yours? True, maybe I used the wrong term, maybe actively grooming children online would be better? They'd have to be caught on camera or something, I think it'd be easy to just get into someone's phone. If it's 100% fully confirmed and no shenanigans are at hand... but it's almost never the case is it. Everyone would love the death penalty but then a guy will be innocent and then whoops! Bronson
Life imprisonment seems like the worse punishment, to me anyways. Plus, the death penalty can actually be more expensive due to all the appeals courts and whatnot
Faster Than Light
Idk, at least in the US prisons are really lame of a punishment. WiFi in prisions? Nuff said
Shindol
If proven beyond doubt, I'd say yeah for criminals that are serving a sentence that would see them past their life expectancy. I wouldn't see this as harsher punishment either. It's more about what tax payer's money could go to instead of keeping these criminals fed, clothed and sheltered until the day they die. I just did a quick google search. On average, it would cost $1,200,000 to keep an inmate in prison for 40 years. That's not acceptable in my opinion. LEGION
No. Too many cases of people being found innocent decades after their imprisonment. Not too mention... Courts have too much power as it is.

Lyriqz ✪
No, because there's almost always a tiny chance that the convinct is innocent afterall. Perhaps in cases of suffocating proof and confessions, but then that opens the door of torturing a confession out of someone, so probably still no. I am however in favor of harsher sentences overall, and for lowering the quality of life in jail. I do not agree with guards abusing the inmates, or knowingly let other inmates assault them, but I don't see why people in jail get wifi, tv, and better food than homeless people and even some "just" poor people. Generations
If there is full proof of the person being guilty (video evidence, etc)...like, in the case of terrorists or whatever...where people saw the person, there is footage of it, we absolutely know it was them...then, yeah...I support it. But like Muur said in the first post, there have been way too many cases of people being falsely accused of murder. There is nothing just about that. Shindol
If a guy got talked into committing suicide, he deserved to *censored*ing die. Girl: "Will you kill your self?" Guy: "No, I don't want to." Girl: "Please" Guy: "I'm not in the mood." Girl: "Pretty please" Guy: "Well, okay then, but I'm only doing it once." Shindol
Society would see the death penalty or life in prison as too harsh for rape. You have to look at it through the eyes of the person that was raped. If an intruder broke into your house tonight and raped you, what would you want to happen to that person? Would you be happy with a 10 year sentence where they only serve 5 years?
