TNA Wrestlers Dealing with Pay Issues.

TNA wrestlers are reportedly dealing with pay issues. Some of the wrestlers have reached out to PWInsider recently and one claims the company is behind two pay periods while others claim they are still owed money from February. Due to TNA not having live events booked for the talents, the pay issues have become a source of aggravation as the talents work to make up their income on the indies.

Another source at TNA's offices in Nashville backs up the pay reports. Issues with payment have been a growing source of frustration at the TNA offices for a few weeks now as well. One source there denied that the company is behind two pay periods but did admit they are behind on cutting checks to wrestlers. Apparently it's something officials have been trying to get under control this past week.

TNA no longer cuts checks in Nashville as they are now outsourced to a company in Dallas, where TNA parent company Panda Energy is located. To add to that, Panda recently moved their offices and while that was going on, the department handling TNA checks completely shut down. This led to a backlog on checks being issued to TNA.

Another issue is that TNA taped so many One Night Only pay-per-view events with outside talents in Orlando during their last set of tapings. This left them faced with a lot of payroll expenses while the company was not generating revenue from the tapings as those ONO events won't air for several months. This led to checks for those talents being on a backlog also.

Kills a lot of excitement for the fans when I know Samoa Joe isn't with the company anymore and you're still advertising him as wrestling weekly as part of your company. Now I know its old and it really pulls me out of it. Sucks to see that its hurting the talent too, but this has been happening apparently and just dismissed by TNA lovers as rumors and bitter employees.

I wonder why people even work for them anymore. Most of their roster would be better off, at least financially, elsewhere.

Easy schedule. Plus ever since Spike cancelled them, they've let talent take bookings elsewhere since they weren't sure if or when they were gonna find a new home. And I think they're still letting guys work elsewhere even though they have Destination America now, so whoever's keeping busy probably isn't doing so bad for themselves.

This. I salute Abyss and James Storm for their patient and loyalty. Dudes been hanging around with TNA, and ONLY TNA since day one for James Storm

I remember Tommy Dreamer sharing a story that he was so close to getting Abyss signed with WWE around 2003. His first feud was going to be against the Undertaker at WMXIX, but Abyss got cold feet.

Until I shared that right now, I completely forgot Tommy Dreamer had an office job with WWE once.

To be fair, they do make this report like every year.

This report is made every year but with the leaving of some major talent the past year is making me think TNA is in way more trouble then it seems.

True. Guys like Rhyno and the Dudleys coming back to WWE, while you've got Kurt trying to come back, and rumors of Samoa Joe joining NXT...doesn't look good for them.

dudleys haven't come back just cuz they have one match doesn't mean they come back

and the fact we get the same exact report every year means it proby not true

They left TNA and they reestablished a connection with WWE. I know they aren't on the active roster...I'm not stupid. But for all intents and purposes, they are in contact with WWE and not TNA.

"TNA talents have been told that they are now free to work anywhere except on TV, meaning they are able to work on iPPV events for other promotions. TNA talents can't work for Ring of Honor because the two companies are rivals but many are looking to get dates with Pro Wrestling Guerrilla or EVOLVE."

I think they've been able to work small indies for months now, but it's cool to see they have even more options now. But it sucks it has to be because of issues like these. Well, I'm looking forward to seeing where superstars are gonna pop up.
