Like BURN IT DOWN.

Definitely. And I actually like Rollins for the simple fact that I know he can be more than just the "Burn it down!" phrase because he showed it in the past when he was a heel...although there seemed to be a lot of people who weren't sold on Rollins' work during that time.

Right now, Rollins is really just a babyface with a cool catchphrase but no real personality. He just wants to "put on a show" and be a fighting champion...

You can add the YES chants in there also. If Daniel Bryan had never done that, he'd still be over, but he would never have had those amazing crowd reactions. In the case of Rusev and Bryan it's a combination of their charisma being put into a meme that fans can join in with.

I liked him much more when he was a heel. It isn't just the fact that WWE can't book babyfaces either, I just don't think he comes across as a likeable dude.

THIS IS AWESOME also is a chant fans can chime in with. They don't actually think a moment is (that) awesome.

Do a bunch of moves, both guys down, wait for *this is awesome* chant is an integral part of WWE matches. I swear fans are like robots now. I was watching Lashley vs Roman and the 'Let's go Roman/Roman sucks' chants just felt so inorganic. Then again that's my main issue with WWE, everything is so fake and phony and convoluted.

TiA chants don't bother me...because at least they're positive.

Also, it's one of those things were people feel different things in different situations. I've heard TiA chants when there's a staredown or whatever...and I've heard people bitch and moan about nothing actually happening. But sometimes those moments of "calm before the storm" really are awesome. I love taking those moments in. I don't think I would personally ever chant "This is Awesome" at a show...it just seems a bit tedious to me. But I rarely have a problem with the chants occurring.

That chant is even worse when they're having a match and no one reacts at all. Then all of a sudden they do a 'cool move' and they start chanting "This Is Awesome?"

I will defend the crowd at WWE shows when I think the hate towards them is unwarranted or people throw the 'smark' B.S which is retarded. But even I have my limits with some crowds. And "This Is Awesome" is one of them.

I agree with this. There are times it's very deserved. But it's an overused chant.

Or "YOU DESERVE IT!" Remember how special that was when Daniel Bryan got it after Mania 30? Since he literally beat the corporate machine both in and out of kayfabe? First time I ever heard that chant, and it was perfect. And then Alexa Bliss got one the RAW after cashing in MitB for her 5th title, and Miz got one after winning his someth IC title. Seriously, it was a such a cool chant, one that if it got busted out for really great moments (spitballing here, but Christian winning the WHC is another great example) would really add to it, but it has been ruined.

Fight Forever was another one. That was crazy to hear during Nakamura's debut match with Sami. And it makes a lot of sense in a blood feud like Zayn vs Owens or Ciampa vs Gargano, but now most above-average matches get it. It's just a damn shame.

I honestly hate a few of the staple 'angles' of wrestling that still happen to this day. I think countouts and DQ's are often met with silence and disappointment. I think people don't react to them the way they did when those things started to become the norm. People want to see action, they don't want to see that action stop over something contrived and anti-climatic. They're supposed to continue the story, but they rarely do anymore, they just put an unnecessary road bump in a story that is subpar anyway.

I feel like those angles should be left off PPVs. Do the angles on Raw/Smackdown so you have the blowoff definitive winners on PPV

People harp on New Japan for always having a bunch of multi man tag matches but I prefer that over a bunch of singles matches with bullshit finishes just to build a rematch.

I dislike injury angles in wrestling matches, as it hovers above the match as a sword of Damocles where you're just waiting for the comeback win.

Sometimes it can work. Ospreay vs Scurll is one of my fav matches this year and the injury spot (even though it wasn't planned) made the match even better, imo.
