Yeah, I'd say it's pretty likely intelligent life exists elswhere. It was funny on the podcast that they started talking about how they were Christian and that the Bible is the word but then believed all this shit that totally contradicts it. Maybe those missing pages were the ones about reptilians and aliens, though.

Busted Open Radio posted the following breaking news announcement, confirming Alberto El Patron and his fianceé and WWE star Paige will appear on tomorrows show.

The couple will set the record straight concerning recent allegations against them, including charges by the Orlando Police for a recent domestic abuse situation at the Orlando International Airport, which reportedly may see charges brought against Paige in the future.

Alberto, the current Global Force Wrestling World Champion, is still suspended by the promotion, but has been cleared from the investigation. Paige is still reportedly waiting to see if she will be charged by the Florida State Attorneys office.

Listening to a couple of shoot interviews with Simon Gotch. I like the matter of fact answers and the way he conducts himself. I get the sense he's speaking truthfully - rather than throwing shade.

What did he say about the deal with Sin Cara?

Haven't heard one about him yet. Might have to have a look.

He did say Enzo was basically one of those guys who always gets on your tits though, said he was always bragging about who he knew and how much money he had, and he apparently knew nothing about the business - despite claiming to.

The odds of Daniel Bryan returning to wrestling get better every day … as he explained this week that there was a “huge, huge misunderstanding” with the test that originally forced him to retire.

Bryan discussed the situation on this week’s E&C Pod of Awesomeness and said he was originally cleared to return to action by his doctors and teams of concussion specialists assigned by WWE in Phoenix and at UCLA, but WWE officials still wouldn’t let him wrestle again.

Daniel then began experimental, non-FDA approved testing at Evoke Neuroscience in New York City that came with bad news. Doctors said he had a lesion in the back part of his brain.

Bryan said, “I’m just like, ‘Holy sh*t. A lesion.’ I’m like, ‘That’s it, I’m done. I’m finished.'”

A week later Vince McMahon asked Bryan to give his retirement speech on Monday Night Raw in Seattle. Days after his speech, he was contacted by one of the doctors who originally cleared him asking what had happened.

Bryan explained, “I told him what happened and I said, ‘They found a lesion in the temporal-parietal region of my brain.’ He goes, ‘Wait, hold up, a lesion?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ And I don’t know what lesion means to you guys, a lesion to me means you have a cut. I have a cut on my brain. He goes, ‘No. Lesion, in medical terminology, is a very vague thing. It just means something is there. We don’t know what it is, so we call it a lesion in the temporal-parietal region of your brain.'”

According to Daniel, it turns out all “lesion” meant was his reflexes in that part of the brain were slower compared to the athletes they usually tested. Compared to a normal person, Bryan was fine. “So I have average reflex time. I was like, ‘Oh no. I don’t think they understand. I’m just an average person, I’m not a real athlete!’ It’s just like, ‘Oh no, there’s been this huge, huge misunderstanding!'”

But the current GM didn’t blame the doctors at Evoke, nor did the the revelation make him want to return to wrestling. At the time he was still trying to have a baby with his wife, Brie Bella.

But once he became the general manager of Smackdown Live, the itch to return came roaring back.

“So all of a sudden I’m around it and I’m not being able to do the part that I love the most. And then they had me out there for an AJ Styles-Dean Ambrose match and it literally tore my heart apart.”

Bryan continued, “And then I was just like, ‘You know what? No. I’m not okay with this.'”

He then began working with the Joe Namath Neurological Research Center in Florida to improve his brain function. They began running tests which showed Bryan had the brain of an average college football player — banged up but not at high risk for brain damage — and thanks to the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Treatments (HBOT) he’s been receiving, which we reported on earlier this week, his brain could be fully healthy if he undergoes more treatments.

Bryan said, “There’s this vast improvement. And Brie sees the vast improvement. And then Dr. (Barry) Miskin thinks within 120 total treatments, so 80 treatments more, that my brain could get back to where if you looked at it from any other spectrum, you would think that I’d have never done any contact sports in my entire life.”

Bryan said “there’s no reason why I can’t return to doing what I love” and hopes to come back to wrestling in a part-time, 50-100 matches a year schedule.

Kane recently appeared on the Ross Report (transcript via wrestlinginc.com), here are the highlights

On Braun Strowman: I think hes doing great and I agree with [Ross that Strowman can be the next big thing in WWE]. I think hes going to be a big star. I was talking to people today that were just talking about him and the thing about it was, when he first came up, he was really green and hadnt been in the [professional wrestling] business very long. He came from a strongman background. He has lost like 50 lbs. or more than that since he came along with WWE, so imagine how big he was before because hes enormous now! He [has] done a good job of getting himself into ring shape. And, I mean, he [has] got it all. And I agree with [Ross]. I think hes going to be a big star. He [has] got a great attitude as well and often, unfortunately, thats peoples biggest enemy is when you dont have a great attitude, but youve got all the other gifts, you aint going to go nowhere. But he does have a great attitude. I think hes going to go somewhere.

On Rumors That He Beat Brock Lesnar at Arm Wrestling: Years and years ago, Brock and I were at the gym at the same time and we were throwing around some serious weight. And we didnt really have a weightlifting challenge, but we were throwing around some serious weight. Kane continued, Brock was impressed and he gets on it and we were matching each other pretty well. But yeah, Ive heard that story and it [has] morphed into various incarnations, so yeah, no, there was never an arm wrestling match because mine is still intact, so there you go.

Keeping with the most recent edition of Pod Of Awesomeness, former WWE Superstar and WWE Hall Of Famer Edge revealed Talks between himself and Ztna that had taken place in 2008-2009. Highlights below

On TNA Trying To Sign Him:

Interesting little tidbit here that I dont even know how much [Christian] know, if [Christian] even know at all, to be honest. I dont recall talking to [Christian] about it. I dont know how word gets out on contracts being up and things like that, but there was one point where my contract was coming up and TNA reached out to me, and [Christian was] there, so they reached out to me, and they told me numbers, and schedule, and all of these things. And for me, at that point, schedule was the thing that I was like, well, thatd be a whole lot easier on the body because I was getting pretty beat up. Its like [Christian] said, I started with WWE in 97. At that point it was like 2008 or 2009. I cant even remember. Its a long time. Now, there [were] breaks because of injuries, but that was my body saying, take a break dude, and I never did until something broke.

On Staying With WWE:

The idea that [Christian was] there, and the opponents. If I went there, theres [samoa] Joe, theres AJ [styles], theres a lot of fresh things to do, but for whatever reason, from day one WWE felt like my home. It felt like the place that Id always wanted to get to. I did those two TV matches in WCW against Kevin Sullivan and Meng and within five minutes of walking into that locker room I was like, I dont want to be here I could tell this is not the place for me. And the dream was still WWF and getting there. And then, finally seeing the inner workings and then working into a position where I was one of the main event guys and I was factored in, it just felt like they did put that faith in me, that they did pull the trigger with me for whatever reason they did and I felt like I cant look that gift horse in the mouth. And sure, there was work involved, but I got to stick it out here and I got to stay here. I just want my career to be here and nowhere else. But for [Christian], I do believe that was definitely the right thing to do.

Raw Superstar Sasha Banks was recently interviewed by Sam Roberts of Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast where discussed numerous topics including her short title reigns, meeting fans in the airports and the Mae Young Classic.

*This interview was recorded prior to SummerSlam where Sasha defeated Alexa Bliss to become a four-time Raw Women’s Champion*

On her short title reigns: “I’ll be honest about something, I’m a three-time RAW Women’s Champion right? Which is awesome. Within a whole year I was a three-time Women’s Champion, which to me is a lot. But I’m a three-time, two week holder of a Championship. So that took away my confidence so much because I thought, I was like okay I lost the first time, that’s fine. Then I won it back and I was like ‘Oh, okay, maybe I can show them that I can keep it longer than two weeks.’ I don’t know was it something with me or they just want to keep on flipping flopping, I don’t know!”

On meeting fans in the airport: “I grew up a wrestling fan, so I knew that I wanted to meet all my favorite wrestlers. But always in the back of my head I never thought in my life to be like, ‘Hey, they’re gonna fly in. Maybe I should wait at the airport for like 12 hours at a gate. Hey! They don’t want any sleep. Maybe I’ll go find their hotel they’re staying at and let me bother them.’ Like to me, that’s stalking. I don’t tweet out what hotel I’m at. I don’t tweet out what airline I’m flying. I do tweet you what arena I’ll be performing at, so I do expect fans at the arena, and I’m so happy to sign at the arena, that’s fine because I’m telling you where I’m going to be at. If I see you in public, that’s fine. But when I’m at an airport at 4 in the morning and I see somebody with a carry-on and they open it with a hundred items of everyone and they’re bothering everybody to get an autograph, and I see it on eBay – that’s not okay to me.”

On the Mae Young Classic: “I was doing the Australia PR tour during that time. I was like, ‘How am I not a part of this?’ I couldn’t believe they booked it like that. I remember I had Bayley FaceTime me just so I could watch one match. I felt like I helped so much with this Women’s Evolution and that we were doing something so special with the Mae Young Classic and having women who worked their butts off for so many years just to try and get a look at by the WWE. Women you would never even think twice would even step foot in a WWE are in a WWE ring showing that women can do it better than the guys. I definitely know we can do it better than the guys, every single week we want to prove that. So the Mae Young Classic to me, its something so important and it shows the just fans and the company how far we’ve gone in the WWE. It’s incredible.”

Wrestling is a youre giving someone your body theres a lot of trust and to do something malicious on purpose I dont care what the circumstances are thats just bad, bad news man."

He then went on to issue a lifetime to Sexy Star:

"I dont know where her mind is at, never met her, at this point, I dont think I want to. Sexy Star you are now going to have a lifetime ban from Talk Is Jericho. Sexy Star is banned from Talk Is Jericho for life. There you go. Theres my little piece of the pie and thats what I say about that."

Here’s Sasha Banks taking a real good shot at the Four Horsewomen of MMA during her appearance on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast recently (transcription via Wrestling Inc):

“It's awesome, but we are The Four Horsewomen and they're just fans. Yeah, and if they wanted to fight us, they need to get in the back of the line like everybody else, get a contract, train down at the Performance Center, get on NXT, and try to get called up just like everybody else."

This is relevant, of course, because WWE is ramping up its promotional efforts for the very obvious pending confrontation between the Four Horsewomen of MMA and the Four Horsewomen of WWE. The next time the two will be in the same place at the same time is the Mae Young Classic Finals.

Sadly, Banks may be missing that.

Still, it’s clear a match is in the works and Banks will almost surely be a part of that, even if she’s missed all of the on-screen promotion for it so far. The shot she’s taken here is one many fans will likely latch onto, as it’s a feeling many are eager to echo, and it’s only going to get louder.

This should be fun.

My bad if posted already

"On a recent episode of E&Cs Pod of Awesomeness, Edge discussed his first Money in the Bank cash-in. In 2006, Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at the New Years Revolution Pay-Per-View.

Vince McMahon came out and announced that Cena would have to defend his WWE Championship against Edge. This came immediately following Cena retaining his title in an Elimination Chamber match.

Edge came to the ring and handed his briefcase to Vince. The rest is history.

So what did Vince say to Edge in that moment? Turns out it was a pretty cool interaction:

Prove me right, prove me right because he was the only one that was in my corner. Everybody else either thought it was too soon, after 9 years with the company [laughs]. Or didnt think it was going to work or whatever

He also said that Vinces words were extremely motivating in the moment:

Hearing that right about when Im [about to cash-in], I was ready to chew the world apart

On a recent episode of E&Cs Pod Of Awesomeness, Edge shared some insight into his Hell in a Cell match against the Undertaker at Summerslam (2008).

According to Edge, Vince told him and the Undertaker that they were not allowed to use color (blood) in the match. This was something that Edge was extremely disappointed with when he was first told the news:

For me, I would say that Hell In A Cell I remember going into that, and a little story about that Hell In A Cell, we got from Vince the edict that day that there would be no color in that match and I had put together this whole thing in my head that involved color and also involved me taking a chokeslam through the panel, through two tables, this whole thing. I know I have this written down somewhere. And it wasnt going to work and color wasnt going to work. And Im mad. And I remember saying to Vince that day, this is the most disappointed Ive ever been in a decision that Ive had to try and make do with, I guess, in this company because I really was. I thought, this is the culmination of a year-and-a-half angle. There has to be that. There has to be color.'

Edge says that he thinks Vince was right in hindsight and it became a challenge to try and put on a great Hell in a Cell match without using blood:

I wasnt thinking further down the road or the big picture, all of the things Vince has to think about, and in hindsight he was right. He was right and what he said that day was completely right. He said, I trust you two to set the template for what a Hell In A Cell will be going forward and I was like, oh, well st. What do you say to that? Theres the challenge. Alright, so the challenge is, weve got to figure out a way to do this then, and I think we did. It still got in the story I wanted to get across. It was fun to try, and, at that point in time, to Vinces point, set the template for what a Hell In A Cell would become. Yep, [the match was what McMahon wanted]. Yep, yep, [the feedback] was, thats exactly what it can be going forward. It doesnt have to be gory. It doesnt have to involve bumps off the top of the cage. The challenge was, youre good enough to do it without all that stuff. And I was just mad at first and once I wrapped my mind around that, it was like, alright, cool, I love challenges.'

Russo went on an epic 45 minute rant about the product today. Great stuff.

Continuing from the other thread...Thank you for your opinion Bearded (in Italic with Quotes)

The MRN, on 21 Sept 2017 - 12:57 PM, said:
"Didn't know people listened to Russo's podcast unironically."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Like Hornswoggle being Vince's son or the anonymous GM were any better. Or Katie Vick. Or many of the angles you people bitch about. Dude had some bad ideas, sure, but WWE's had many after him. So I never understand why smarks shit on him so much.

Same could be said about people who listen to Alvarez, Keller and even your dad though.
I listen because his rants make me laugh while I'm driving or at the gym and I don't agree with a lot of what he says BUT his views on the current product aren't crazy."

I will never understand why people hate on Russo so much. Yes, some bad ideas. But how many GREAT ones did he have? He also has CREDIBILITY. These jock sniffers like Keller and Meltzer sound like morons when they bash him, yet have never had a job in a company.

His rants are damn entertaining and spot on. "Castrating the Marks" every Friday is a MUST listen.
