The Third
The morning session today was one of the more exciting sessions I remember.
Fried
Great batting in that first session and the first ball that got the England captain was a real corker. 5 wickets to go. No chance of rain.
Herb.
At least England finally have a positive in Ben Stokes. No chance of rain? Well shit. Maybe they can go off because of dangerous heat...
Fried
Stokes looks like he's doing alright for himself. 117 off 171. Australia were focusing too much on hitting the cracks/canyons over bowling full yesterday at least. 176 to win for England.
The Third
Hopefully now that the Ashes are wrapped up, it won't be as packed at the Boxing Day test when I go.
Herb.
Swann retires from cricket. Not something that surprises me a huge amount.

Fried
*Censored* knows how England lost that ODI from a few weeks back, 300 runs on the board, having Australia down to 5/90 or whatever it was. Feel a bit bad for the captain of the Poms. Another ODI this arvo from Perth, if England lose this one that's 10 straight. Thanks to the Kiwi's who have now beaten India twice in a row Australia have reclaimed the #1 ODI International Team spot.
Herb.
Another crap showing in the T20 now. Dernbach wouldn't get into my local club side.
The Third
I still can't believe Broad gave him the ball for the final over. Went 1/141 in his 12 overs for the series. Embarrassing.
Fried
Cya KP. Anyone following the BBL? Saw a bit of Hobart knocking out one of the Melbourne teams last night.
Ewok_3000
Brendon McCullum becomes the first Black Caps player to reach a triple century. And the Black Caps beat India in the test series, 1-0 (the 2nd one was a draw). Also, the tickets to the Cricket World Cup here in Christchurch are completely sold out. Fried
Great to hear about NZ beating India. Followed the first test a bit. Great accomplishment for NZ cricket. Heh...there was more brutal bowling by Johnson in South Africa last week. He totally rattled the majority of the SA team.
Fried
Congratulations to the Australian Test team for wrapping up the series against South Africa 2-1 overnight. Warner scored 100+ in the first and second innings. Congratulations also to South african Captain Graham Smith who announced his retirement during the Test. Tough bugger. I'll always remember his inspirational innings in the 2009 Test in Sydney when he came out and batted with a broken hand.
Fried
Warner 65 off 26 balls in a warmup match against New Zealand in preparation for the T20 World Cup.
Herb.
Serious knock by Alex Hales, the first English player to get a 100 in T20, and the first 100 against SL who are a strong favourite. England should win this now. Boooom what a shot, 116 (64) for Hales.
IɳFamous
England are a disgrace.
Fried
Australia weren't much better in that T20 comp. But congratulations to the Dutch team. Big scalp for them.
Fried
Woo Australia through the finals of the World Twenty20. Congratulations to the Southern Stars woman cricket team!
lightning116
Sucks that the West Indies lost due to the D/L system. Then again it's their own fault for not delivering with the bat. I'm looking at YOU, Marlon Samuels.
Fried
Didn't follow it but England is getting creamed by India in England? They lost a Test and blamed it on a ghost at the hotel they were staying at? What's happening there? First photo of the ghost that haunts English cricket
Herb.
I wouldn't say they got creamed, they were in a great position to win and the senior players all failed to deliver yet again. And a strange period of play ensued when they somehow managed to give away 4 wickets to short balls. Oh well, at least Buttler is finally in for Prior. Now all we need is to drop Broad, strip Cook of the captaincy and get Morgan in the side to give it to...
Fried
Thoughts to Phil Hughes who's in a coma after getting hit in the head with the ball batting yesterday in Sydney. Never seen a guy collapse like that on a cricket pitch before.
