MopOfVirtue
Fighter rankings are a complete copout. Only 13 of the 77 contributors to the rankings had Rory MacDonald over Robbie Lawler, yet for some reason, Rory is ranked #3 and Robbie is ranked #4. I've given up on the UFC's ranking system. The Third
Unfortunately Shane del Rosario has actually passed away from the heart attack now.
Lunchbox
Is that the first active UFC fighter death?
The Third
Evan Tanner was an active UFC fighter when he died 5 years ago, but that's the only other one I know of.
MopOfVirtue
I think Tanner is the only other fighter who was under contract with UFC when he died. Terrible news, and unexpected considering the fact that it sounded like Shane was going to pull through. May he rest in peace.

Ömniscieɳce®
If he loses, it will be the ultimate humiliation. If he wins, then he'll be labeled as cruel for beating up a woman. They should just X this.
The Third
I doubt that the fight will actually happen. Someone from the Commission in Brazil said that he doubts they'll allow the fight to go on, while Emerson Falcao and his team claim he's injured and won't be fighting. MopOfVirtue
Apparently this was set up by the head of Nova União. You know, the guys who train BJ Penn and Renan Barao. I think it's absolutely disgusting. And it truly is a lose-lose situation for the guy. They really should cancel this. The guy's record is 0-1, and the woman's is 0-0. What a way to make an MMA debut.
Ömniscieɳce®
I'm not going to front. If they do decide to keep this fight on course, I will be watching.

Ömniscieɳce®
That's surprising. Speaking of Silva, he's going to dominate Weidman. It was a fluke he lost ( in my opinion ). And I hope Miesha Tate beats the crap out of Rousey.
MopOfVirtue
Bearer of bad news here. Back onto SdR for a sec, apparently cocaine, opiates and THC were found in his system at the time of his death. Make of that what you will. Also, Rosi Sexton, George Sotiropoulos, Alessio Sakara, Nam Phan, and Pat Barry have all been cut. So Anderson has accepected Chael's invatation to be his assistant coach against Silva for TUF: Brazil.Oh man, this is going to be one hell of a season. I won't understand what's going on, but I'll definitely enjoy every moment of it.
