CWA
I remember in svr 2007 and 8 the weight detection worked tremendously.you as a cruiserweight or light heavyweight could not lift super heavyweights they were harder to beat in those games then the games today dont make any sense with the weight detection how in the same hell is it easy to have a cruiserweight or a light weight lift a super heavyweight. I hope this is fixed or 2k needs to let go of the license and let someone else take control because this makes it hard and I hate how the games are now.then it was harder for heavyweights to lift super weights. It should be harder for cruiserweights and light weights to get superheavyweights off there feet.2K GET BETTER WITH THIS.
CROSS-Out
Stop setting their strength setting so high. It was also annoying to go for a move only to have nothing come of it because I was smaller than my opponent and thus they get the advantage, so the current system where if you don't have the strength to pull it off, you instead use a pool from your weight detection moves is the best of both worlds at the moment. I won't deny its got its problems, but I'd much prefer to just go adjust their strength attributes and end up using non-lift moves, than go for a scoop slam, be unable to pull it off, and get attacked for my troubles when I previously had the advantage. CWA
There strength isnt high at all what gets me The non lift moves should be hard to execute maybe a mini game of some sort.we cant even have a decent battle. I just wish we was more realistic in the games we have now a days. I hate that THQ Went out of business
LEGION
lmao I remember never playing matches involving Heavyweights because of this shit. Why would a Cruiserweight attempt to lift up a Heavyweight in the first place? The system we have now is better. Especially considering the actual strength alot of Cruiserweights have irl right now
CWA
I just miss it being an asually battle to take them down
LEGION
It wasn't though. It was flat out impossible in some cases
Counting Lights
I don't mind the current system, honestly. Plus we see cruisers and light heavyweights using power moves on heavier guys much more commonly these days. Neville flat out deadlifted Kevin Owens into a German Suplex a year or two ago. I feel like we get those "OMG HOW DID HE LIFT HIM?!" moments quite a bit.
BlInd_Monkey1989
One thing I do miss from the Day of Reckoning series was the minigame they included when a lighter superstar tried lifting a heavier one. It was a simple button mashing minigame. If you were successful it made you feel like Hogan when he lifted Andre.
CWA
Ill agree with that Blind Monkey. In SVR 2008 it took a hell of a load of strikes before u can take him down or lift him before having that hogan/Andre Moment
BlInd_Monkey1989
To be fair, if a heavyweight or super heavyweight have the immovable object ability it'll take you quite a few strikes to knock them down depending on what level of the ability they have. Plus like GMP said, if you lower the strength stat of the smaller superstars then you'll find the weight detection works pretty well in this game. There's room for improvement, but it's really not bad this year.
maskedmaniac
I'm still amazed at how good the weight detection from the old N64 AKI wrestling games was for it's time at least. In VPW2 for example if you tried to lift a super heavyweight with a smaller guy you couldn't right off the bat, you had to beat him down some and even then you struggled to lift him up and your character would grab his back in pain. It wasn't until late in the match that you were able to pull it off but it really knocked out both guys flat on the mat in exhaustion, gave you the impression that something big had just occurred. Huge guys also couldn't be Irish whipped like Andre the giant. You could try, but to no avail they just wouldn't budge. Now you can pretty much just toss a giant around like he weight 150 pounds. CWA
For female superstars it could be a little better but this is the first time for them in 2k18.
