It sometimes feels like 2K forget that this is supposed to be a wrestling game, especially when it comes to their DLC.

2K20 still frustrates me so much because if they'd bothered to actually fix the *censored*ing game it would've been really good. I could see the good game underneath, but it was so broken and so... uncared for.

I'm not impressed with that pack but maybe they'll use it as an opportunity to give us some moves and animations we've needed for a while. Then again, I thought the same about Machine Gun Kelly and instead we got a bunch of really stupid looking shit.

It's really bad, and an excellent example of why I think the fact no one stays down long enough is such a big issue. I don't understand why they took the system for mulit-man matches out they used to have where after getting knocked around enough, people rolled out and stayed out for a certain amount of time but could come in early with a debuff.

There's a weird problem with settings not carrying over except in certain circumstances. For instance I have my game set to let me hold buttons for times mini-games, but that only carries over to NXT in universe mode, and no other shows. It's extremely annoying and makes my arthritis hurt like hell. That and the crashing..

More crashes; how disappointing.

It's so nice being able to use running springboard finishers reliably at a distance.

It appears the announcer in nxt whose name escapes me may be missing some audio, the letter "X" for instance.

Is there any option to disable the visual and audio effects on super finishers. I've looked but could not find anything and I find the sound and screen distortion quite grating.

Saw a new patch was out. Any news on what it fixes? Sorry I'm out and about right now so it's a bit harder to check.

My problem with this is that you're basically saying "if you do 2Ks job of balancing the gameplay for them, its good". Your experience is valid and i'm extremely happy you're having a blast, but I personally feel it shouldn't be on the players to go in and fix that for them, it should work at its best right out of the box. Again, it's not the controls that bother me, its the lock-ups and breakers. I'm fine with how the game controls, it's the way it plays where I have some issues, if that makes sense. I still fully believe we can have the best of both worlds, it doesn't need to be one or the other.

I mean, getting rid of the lock-up would pretty much just make it like 2K19s grapples, they can still use circle/B for grapples and just use a modifier for irish whips.

I think lighting for customized advanced entrances may be broken, at least for my CAW it's constantly dark throughout his entrance even though I have multiple lighting changes set to occur throughout. Pretty much every jacket in CAW mode baloons out ridiculously, to a silly degree. Also.. you know. Crashes.

I don't agree entirely with everything being said, though I respect that that's just my personal opinion. I for instance still think the old stamina system was better and helped match flow more, and I think that the grapple system prevents it from being the most realistic among other things, but i'm definitely having more fun that I did with 2K22 and 2K23 by a large milestone. If they just fix the bugs and make some adjustments, I can see the series finally pulling ahead. I do still think match flow is a problem though. There's no down time, it's just constant offense; and a lot of matches feel the exact same due to the grapple and combo system. This is compounded by the problem i've mentioned where people just.. don't stay down long enough. No matter how much of a beating they take, everyones back to their feet way too quickly. I also, and i've said this before, just utterly despise the breaker system. I hate any reversal system in which I have to make guesses based on RNG. I think it's acceptable for the combo system but utterly despise that I honestly think the only reason they don't revert to the better grapple system from before is because of the breakers; and i'm getting very weary of their habit of just ignoring small problems until they baloon, THQ did that and they rightfully got shit for it, I don't want to see 2K start to get a free pass for the same thing. But this is a major step in the right direction, and assuming they actually fix the bugs currently causing certain modes to be less than they could, this will be the first time since 2K19 I probably play the game year long.

The game will be great, maybe even tie 2K19 despite my dislike of certain gameplay aspects... provided they fix some of the small problems plaguing it.

aaaand game crashed when I went to select a triple threat match in universe mode. Just... great, we're back to this nonsense.

Just hold it? Okay, and maybe I admittedly haven't watched NXT in a long ass time, because Sportsnet is friggin awful. That one *censored*ing boo sound effect is still in the crowd, it is so *censored*ing annoying.

Also does anyone know how to actually start the strike exhange mini-game? I don't recall any of the tutorials actually saying how.

Im not sure if High Justice is meant for him, although it looks like his, but the new crucifix bomb definitely seems intended for him yet he's still using the Razors Edge.

Is it just me or did they mocap a ton of new moves for Damian Priest and then not bother to assign them to him?

I had an absolutely fantastic, and bloody, match between LA Knight and Randy Orton. For all my complaints, when it hits just the right points it is excellent.

2K24 bug since we don't have a proper section for it yet, but tag entrances don't work in universe mode if they have a manager. Edit: it appears only some don't work, and the ones who don't work can't have their trio entrance edited.. for some reason.

Someone else mentioned it earlier but i gotta agree, it's a little too easy to bust people open. Im tending to do so in the first 30 seconds of a match. Also by default the AI uses running attacks and irish whips waaaaay too much. I know they're proud of their improvements to irish whips but sheesh. and everyone STILL has that *censored*ing DDT! ---- The "Allow Held Input for Mini-Games" option does not appear to work in universe mode.

Hopefully the next patch addresses CAA so I can actually start setting up my universe. Also can we PLEASE have the option to disable the news page every single time we start the game.
