The lighting itself doesn't look bad but I do agree it's really goddamn frustrating that they always make the lighting in caw mode different from in game.

By the last patch of 2k23, opponents had to be stupidly close to the rope in question for the prompt to appear on running springboard finishers. So for instance moves designed to be hit on an opponent in the middle of the ring like Joe Gaceys springboard handstand lariat looked really bad because they has to be so close to hit it that the animation had to sharply turn for it to work.

God Gacey got the worst of it, though pretty much all of them were bad. I was using the running Cody cutter as my finisher and the opponent had to be practically face*censored*ing the ropes for me to get the prompt.

You playing it on? Could you please check something for me? Would you be able to check if they fixed running springboard finisher distances?

hmm, the idea of them hiding moves behind MyFaction unlocks is very disconcerting to me.

Im not sure actually, I just haven't felt the need to touch it since, as I said, what I want is more of a combination of the two with everything being modular. I agree about empty match cards, and further, i'd like to see the option to set any day of the week as a PPV instead of just sundays.

Ehh, I still think they should've combined Universe and MyGM and made almost every feature optional so players could customize their experience. For instance, I want Universe mode but with show ratings and wrestler pay, but i dont want to get too into the nitty gritty of GM Modes features, whereas someone may want the opposite. In my mind, what I suggest would allow both players to get exactly what it is they want from the mode.

While I agree, i'm not sure i'd word it as the "popularity" of the mode more like usage of the mode because some of us are forced to use it to unlock content. Even if I play it for instance, that doesn't mean i'm going to enjoy it such.

With respect, I think that view-point leads way too much towards homogenization and generic "do what the majority wants even if it doesn't make for a better experience on the whole" design. It feels like that's the kind of thing a Ubisoft exec might say. More importantly, I think its dangerous to speak on theories of what might be popular or unpopular without any kind of actual referential data to base that on. Admittedly i'm likely quite biased, so if what i'm saying seems insulting please know I do not intend it to be, i simply cannot speak from a neutral perspective; I've not hidden at all the contempt I have for certain changes after 2K20 (i feel that they panicked and swerved way too hard in the opposite direction, and could have gotten a lot of the improvements we see in without the needless restrictions and dumbing down of gameplay and match tempo), but it seems to me more like 2K are starting to pull the same stunts THQ used to pull. Remove something, then bring it back years later as a selling point instead of come up with something truly new to capture attention with; when that something should not have been removed in the first place.

If and when someone here inevitably gets the game early, could they please check to see if the distance for running springboard finishers has been fixed?

I have no desire to play as someone who allegedly took part in what he did anyway.
