High Flying Maniac Posted May 31, 2017 Report Share Posted May 31, 2017 So I've had my current cell, Android Motorola G, for about 4 or 5 years now and it's been pretty good for me. However it's starting to crap out on me and want to get a new phone. I don't keep up with which phones are good or not and would really rather not spend hours doing research on all sorts of different phones. So I figured I'd ask here and get your opinions. I'm not too picky about which brand it is, all I'm really concerned about is that it has a high quality camera. Honestly not that important but it'd be really nice if it had a good camera. All I use my phone for is texting, music (with headphones, sorry iPhone 7) and some apps so if it's good in those departments then that'd be great. I'm not too bothered by wight, as for size I'd prefer something not too big but it's not a problem if it is. So yeah, think that's about it. Would probably be better to wait and see what other suggestions pop up but after looking up both phones, I'm thinking I'm gonna go with the OnePlus 3T. Wasn't aware it could only be purchased from their site but that's not an issue. Was hoping there'd be a payment option for if you want to only pay so much each month rather than all together but I suppose that's not a huge deal. I haven't made my mind up yet by the way, just looking at what the OnePlus 3T order/payment is like. EDIT: Looked further and it seems like you can pay when you want and however much you want so long as you pay it in full within 6 months. Guess that option shows up when you choose to pay for it? I dunno. EDIT #2: Welp, looks like that option is only available in the US and I'll need to pay the full $600 all together if I do go with the OnePlus 3T. Great. M3J Posted June 1, 2017 Report Share Posted June 1, 2017 Can't you get an older OnePlus? I hear great things about it. I dunno about SGS, although I used SGS3 and SGS5 and loved both. You could also get an iPhone 6 or 6S (I have this), but iPhones are immensely overrated. I suppose I could look on sites like Amazon or eBay but I dunno, I would rather get it from the actual brand's site if I have to get it online. And yeah, over the weekend I'll be checking out the phones they have and some stores. So I'm pretty sure I won't be able to get the OnePlus 3T. I looked at other phones in stores and looked some up online but I dunno, my gut is telling me to go with this option so that's what I did. Dunno if this should be closed now since I made my final decision or if it should stay open until I give my thoughts on the phone once I get it. Up to the mods I guess. It's a lot bigger than my old phone (which I like) and is way smoother too (as in when I use it, not the exterior haha). Camera is great quality as well. Still playing around with it but so far I'm really happy with it. High Flying Maniac Posted July 5, 2017 Author Report Share Posted July 5, 2017 Just an update for those curious; I started having this problem where the screen glitches and becomes unresponsive, forcing me to reset the phone. It's been happening numerous times regardless of what I'm doing. Sometimes resetting the phone will fix it temporarily and other times it'll freeze up right away. Pretty annoyed that it's been a bout a month and I'm already having problems. I contacted them and currently awaiting to hear back from them. Really hoping it'll be an easy fix.
