To truly understand the origins of KABOOM! -lucharesu- we must go back to July 11, 2013 when the 18-year-old Jacob Dylan Kidd made his professional wrestling debut as the “Tasmanian Daredevil” Dingo Kid for the Australian-based Down Under Wrestling, competing in an Over the Top Rope Battle Royale to determine the company’s inaugural Australian Tag-Team Champions, a matchup that Dingo went onto win with WWE legend Kane after last eliminating Kane’s Brother of Destruction tag-team partner; Undertaker.

Despite a hostile start to their partnership, “KanDingo” quickly became a formidable duo and went undefeated before finally losing the Tag-Team Titles to Vindictive (Ion Adrian & Isaac Williams) on October 6, 2013. The two teams clashed once again in a Máscaras contra Campeonatos - Masks versus Championships Match at Halloween Hell which Vindictive went onto win. Following the match, Dingo Kid attacked Kane and removed his mask, turning rudo in the process.

On the November 3 edition of a now maskless Dingo Kid appeared under the name Dylan Kidd and justified his actions at Halloween Hell by claiming that it was Kane who betrayed him by not finding him after he had been kidnapped by The Wyatt Family months earlier, the two former tag-team partners continued their rivalry which culminated in Dylan’s choice of a Kennel from Hell Match at the all-steel cage Pay-Per-View event; No Escape which Kane went onto win.

Following the matchup at No Escape, Dylan Kidd was primarily used as an enhancement talent up until DUW’s closure in April 2014, at which point he decided to retire from in-ring competition in favour of opening his own wrestling school “Dingo’s Dungeon” in Manchester, England. The quick rise in popularity of the Dungeon soon led to Dingo starting a Kickstarter campaign in order to turn the school into his own professional wrestling promotion. Although the campaign was unsuccessful, Dingo was approached by Chester A. Rathbone, the son of wealthy entrepreneur who offered to fund Dingo’s company under the condition that he was given a role on-screen within the company which Dingo quickly agreed to.

With Chester A. Rathbone now on board as the financial backer, on June 22, 2014 Dingo Kid officially announced the launch of his new professional wrestling company; KABOOM! -lucharesu-, intended to be a fun and family-friendly alternative free of the backstage politics and conspiracies that had plagued DUW for months and influenced his in-ring retirement.

The rules for KABOOM! -lucharesu- don’t differ too much from the rules of any of my other RPGs. I’m not going to enforce a character limit, you can have as many as you can handle and they can be real or created wrestlers but not dead or retired ones and people outside of the wrestling business. Obviously, follow the general rules of the RPG section and CAWs.ws in general, just use your commonsense whilst posting basically. As stated above, KABOOM! is intended to be a “fun” and “family-friendly” alternative and I’d like it to be in keeping with that idea.

The black and white image Isabella standing a rather grubby looking bunker is shown whilst Captain Osiris can be seen packing his belongings in a large oak chest, after several seconds, Osiris notices out of the corner of his eye that a nearby video camera is turned on.

“Well hello my Dear Night-Owls! Do not fear…this is not a dream nor a mirage but this is reality. I…am…real! Your Captain has finally arrived and KABOOM! -lucharesu- is where I have landed but I have not come alone…oh no! Allow me to introduce the black rose of my Dark Sanctuary…abandoned by her father and mother, the young Isabella was lost…but now…she has been found. I have accepted her as my own, as my companion she has accompanied me on my intrepid adventures across the globe and KABOOM! will be no different. Isn’t that right, Dear Isabella?”

Despite being asked a question by Osiris, Isabella remains silent.

“Still in awe of my presence I see. Well…one cannot blame you for that. I am after all an innovator, a genius and a hero to many. You would be hard-pressed to find a being on God’s green earth that isn’t. Nevertheless…as my Dark Sanctuary enters to wonderful and mysterious world of KABOOM! we will tread carefully…trip the light fantastic…shall we say? The calm before the storm, the beauty within the chaotic land that plays home to the walking dead, the un-evolved, the self-obsessed and the fowl.

Osiris stands behind Isabella and places his hand on her right shoulder. A worried look spreads across her face as the camera fades out.

Nope not giving. I've actually put more work into that character than I have into all my others...possibly combined. It's insane and it won't work elsewhere. Anyway...this post is not about Captain Osiris, this is about the "Twisted Tornado of Tenacious Tenacity" -who says nicknames need to be simple, eh?- Cyclone. The young Scottish junior heavyweight happened to catch the segment "Entry I: Arrival" with Captain Osiris and Isabella and Cyclone stands by his previous statement...Osiris is an odd duck. Isabella's pretty cute though so maybe The Original Alliance can save her, she didn't really look happy to be with Osiris anyway so she probably can't wait to get away from him. Oh damn! It turns out this post was more about The Dark Sanctuary than Cyclone...meh! What are you gonna do?

Spartacus. Gladiator!

 

After vowing to take some time off to nurse nagging injuries following the closure of Big Apple Wrestling, Spartacus went against his vow after a few short weeks and signed up to a new company. Oh Spartacus. Having signed a contract earlier today, the Gladiator Spartacus is currently walking down a busy Manchester street, having arrived in England for the first time in his life earlier today as well. The people here are a lot different to those in the US, as they appear to be actually making eye contact, however not as much as the people in Australia. Another notable difference is how opinionated everyone is, as Spartacus who is wearing his usual Gladiator get up outside of work hours has been judged numerous times, which isn't making the Gladiator feel very comfortable at all. As a result, he has decided to head back to the Ritz hotel where he has booked a room instead and lock himself away for a while, perhaps he will order some people clothes as well.

CYCLONE ? THE TWISTED TORNADO OF TENACIOUS TENACITY

A new addition to the KABOOM! -lucharesu- and one that Cyclone has been quite the fan of over the past year; Spartacus. A man that knows Dingo Kid very well having wrestled him back in Down Under Wrestling and if I recall correctly, Spartacus gained the upper hand in those encounters. Because of this, Cyclone is hoping to face off against Spartacus here in KABOOM! and do what the "Tasmanian Daredevil" was unable to do.
