CW's [Green] ARROW

The potential series revolves around former billionaire playboy Oliver Queen who, after being marooned for five years on a remote island, returns with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime.

Stephen Amell has been cast as Oliver Queen and the costume has been revealed.

Dinah Lance, who is the alter ego of Black Canary was also cast. It is unknown if she ever will don the Black Canary outfit.

The Oliver Queen in this show will have nothing to do with the Oliver Queen that was featured in the TV Series Smallville. However, the costume does look similar to the one that was featured in Smallville.

I'll post the rest of the casting when I find it. It's unknown when this will shoot, but expect it to be soon and a 2013 premiere date.

USA Today is reporting that Supernatural is headed to Wednesday nights at 9PM and Arrow will be slotted in front at 8PM. With CW's ratings plummeting 15% this past season one would have to expect that Arrow will be given every opportunity to flourish.

Meh, can't say Green Arrow is a regular comic I read, I've picked it up more after The New 52 but still. 616-Hawkeye is on and off but Ultimate Hawkeye is such a bad ass, I'd easily take him over Green Arrow.

I'll probably give the TV series a shot but I'm not expecting anything special, CW is bit of a 'teen girl' network for me.

^...no because they have had shows such as Vampire Diaries, The OC (which hey, I watched but it's core audience is still teenage chicks), One Tree Hill (which I initially watched for awesome basketball and then stopped because it was shit, and again same thing as OC), Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie, America's Next Top Model, 90210 etc. I mean, occasionally they'll have a decent-ish show, but you know if the show was done on a great network it'd be so much more awesome.

As for the footage, not much really to say, half of it is just him doing some admittedly bizarre workouts. I don't know, I just don't like seeing proper action-type stuff on TV, the camera angles always seem so weird.

Might be different since you're in Australia, but the OC was never on the CW here. It was on Fox, long before CW came around and Ive never seen any replays of it. Though I do agree that a lot of it's shows are there to cater to teenage girls. I only watch it for Supernatural honestly and even that show has a bit of market in it for the same the other shows have.

When will Green Arrow be aired?

^Fairly sure it got moved to CW later on didn't it? CW didn't even exist when The OC was first out.

Also, I'm not able to find anything saying The OC was shown at all on CW.

Well hopefully this will be a show I do wind up enjoying.
