WARNING: be prepared to get hit in da feels!

This is the tear-jerking moment a teenager wept after receiving a birthday present from his late father.

Johnathon Crow, 16, from Port Huron, Michigan, became emotional when he realized his father, who had suddenly died just two months earlier, had left him a coveted electric guitar.

His sister Chandler orchestrated the surprise, as she recorded him opening a card his father had left behind and then reacting to the gift.

'Dad bought it for you before he passed away, for your birthday,' his sister said to him as he realized what his gift was.

'Happy Birthday buddy!'

At first the teen appears confused, then stunned but the viral clip - which has been viewed over seven million times - culminates with him in tears after he sees the guitar.

His father worked as a technician at a guitar store, where Johnathon also took guitar lessons.

The teen's dad knew his son yearned for the Dean Razorback, an electric guitar, so he decided to buy it in January. But he passed away suddenly in April.

The guitar store however showed Chandler the gift when she dropped her brother off at his guitar lesson.

Chandler decided to wait to surprise Johnathon on his birthday. She blindfolded her brother from his school to the store. She then recorded the moment he opened a card his father had given to him to the point he became emotional about seeing the gift.

'A big thank you goes out to the Port Huron Music Center, who helped keep my dad's dream alive,' she posted on Facebook.

'Happy 16th birthday buddy. Dad is so proud of you. I love you more than words can describe.'

Now the pair have even bigger plans. They are hoping Ellen Degeneres will see the viral clip and invite them on her show.
