Coach_PC Posted June 30, 2014 Report Share Posted June 30, 2014 It's been a while since I have posted on here or even trolled through so I thought I'd do something a little different. I've been playing 2k14 for a while now and have been trying to come up with different things to do in the game to keep me interested so I have come up with this........holding random title tournaments. What I am going to do is hold title tournaments for most of the championships listed in the game. There will be a select few that I don't do mainly because I don't like the belt Anyway....superstars for these tournaments will be selected at random. I will only hit the random button once and the superstar that first comes up will take that spot in the bracket. Every superstar is eligible with the exception of Mr. McMahon, Divas, and my original caws. I thought it would be interesting to see which superstars go against each other. I will post brackets and results here but feel free to talk about each tournament or matchups in each tournament as you deem necessary. I will not play any matches as I will let the AI determine the winners. Thought this would be a good way to mix things up a bit in this game Well I am wasting no time.....here is the first tournament: WWE Championship (current) Bracket Virgil Randy Savage Drew McIntyre Sgt. The finals of each tournament will have an added stipulation but I would like everyone's help with this via vote. I was able to get through the quarterfinals pretty quickly so here are the results: WWE Championship Title Tournament Quarterfinals Drew McIntyre vs. Big Show - McIntyre was looking to pull the upset in this one as he had Show on the outside and puts him through the announce table with a DDT!! But McIntyre made a critical mistake...instead of getting Show back in the ring he taunted to the crowd which allowed Show to recover and nailed a clothesline to the back of McIntyre. Show made it back in the ring slowly and McIntyre followed but McIntyre was met with a huge spear from Show followed by the knockout punch and Show made the cover for the victory. Winner: Big Show Daniel Bryan vs. Sgt. Slaughter - This was actually a really good match. Slaughter was in control late locking in the cobra -clutch but Bryan powered out but then was met with a big clothesline from the Sarge who went for the pin but D-Bry kicked out at 2. Slaughter then locked in a rear chinlock with his knee pressed to the small of Bryan's back but Bryan powers out and from out of nowhere hits the flying knee and covers Slaughter for the win. Winner: Daniel Bryan Eddie Guererro vs. Roman Reigns - This match wasn't even close as Reigns dominated Latino Heat and hit the spear on Eddie to pick up the easy victory. Winner: Roman Reigns John Cena vs. Goldberg - Definitely the best match. Goldberg was in control late in the match and picked Cena up into a military press slam and went for the cover but Cena kicked out at 2. Cena recovered quickly and hit the AA on Goldberg and went for the pin but Goldberg kicked out at 2! Goldberg fought back and hit the Jackhammer on Cena and was sure to pick up the win but Cena kicks out again at 2!! Goldberg is furious and whips Cena into the corner and then makes a run at Cena but Cena moves out of the way and reverses into a leverage pin and somehow keeps Goldberg down for the 1..2...3!! Winner: John Cena Semi-finals Big Show vs. John Cena Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns I like getting the community involved so feel free to make predictions on who you think will win or what the final match stipulation should be. And I like the idea of recording matches Arjun. I do have a game capture so I might do that. Haven't really decided yet. Anyway...thanks again and stay tuned for the semi-finals and finals!! Thought I would make this a double update...here are the semi-finals and finals of the WWE Championship Tournament!! Oh and don't read ahead WWE Championship Tournament Semi-finals Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns - Bryan took control early in the match with a fury of offensive moves trying to ground Reigns but Roman quickly recovered and gained control of the match. At the end of the match Bryan hits his signature kicks to Reigns and goes for a pin but Reigns kicks out at 2. Reigns quickly recovers and hits the spear on Bryan! Reigns covers Bryan but D-Bry kicks out!! Reigns can't believe it and turns his head for a split second and the from out of nowhere again Bryan runs at Reigns and hits his finishing flying knee and covers Reigns for the 1...2...3!! Bryan advances to the finals! Winner: Daniel Bryan Big Show vs. John Cena - This was a decent match with both superstars exchanging moves throughout the match. Cena was in control late in the match but Show went for his comeback and whipped Cena into the ropes and Cena almost runs into the referee disrupting Show's rhythm. Show climbs to the top rope and jumps at Cena but Cena delivers a punch to the gut of show. Show regains control and goes for power move but Cena reverses into the AA and covers Show for the win. Winner: John Cena Finals Arena: TLC WWE Championship Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena - This was a really good match. Cena starts things off with a solid punch to Bryan knocking him down to the mat. Cena picks Bryan up and delivers a standing back drop. Bryan recovers with a kick to the knee of Cena. Cena regains control and tosses Bryan over the top rope onto the apron but quickly brings him back in. Cena remains in control and whips Bryan into the ropes and follows with a hip toss. Bryan goes for his comeback but Cena runs at Bryan and Bryan delivers a quick arm drag. Cena gets up quickly and runs at Bryan again and again D-Bry delivers an arm drag. Both superstars go back and forth exchanging moves and pinfalls. Late in the match Bryan whips Cena but Cena reverses into the AA but Bryan reverses into the Yes Lock!! Bryan locks it in but Cena powers out. Bryan then delivers his signature kicks and goes for a pin but Cena kicks out at 2!! The two exchange quick moves for a minute and Cena goes for a punch but Bryan reverses into another Yes Lock!! He has it locked in again and Cena is trying to make it to the rope for a break but Bryan locks it in tighter and Cena has no choice but to tap!! Winner and NEW WWE Champion: Daniel Bryan I set the final match as a falls count anywhere but it didn't really go that way (stupid AI) so I just wrote it up as a regular singles match for the title. I will try to steer away from FCA matches for the rest of the tournaments. Well I hope you guys enjoyed the first random tournament.
