I am pretty much an amateur at caws considering in previous games i made horrible caws.

So heres my first serious sort of Caw.

Astro pretty much has an MMA/Strong Style themed gimmick. His moveset is mostly MMA/Strong Style and his attire reminds me of MMA.

He needs a little more work, man.

I know you don't really get into this as much as you said as, but you have to try and match a couple things when you create...

The in-ring gloves/wrist are different from the entrance ones. Be sure to put that on the entrance one as well.

Your color scheme could use some tweaking. I know it comes to down to personal taste, but red gloves, mixed with black and green trunks looks somewhat awkward without some of the others not interacting with each other.

Which leads me to layers....You have 64 of them. You could design the hell out of him if you're patient enough for it. You could even make his name, and put that on his trunks. What about "TapOut" or something related, since he's in the MMA?

Just a little bit of tweaking on him will make him stand out. Keep at him.

Added a Misawa inspired attire to the first post and changed his tights to red.

It looks pretty cool!
It doesn't really look like an MMA person. The arm bands aren't MMA. Try wrist tape or something. The misawa attire looks good though.
