Around the 2013 Christmas period, the biggest rumour circulating the internet was that a young, Australian entrepreneur was eyeing off a financial takeover of the World Wrestling Entertainment. Old and new fans alike jumped to the defence of Mr. Vince McMahon, claiming that he would never sell a part of himself, which is what the WWE was hugely considered to be. Poll's were held online, as well as on television, even on episodes of RAW and Smackdown!, and it looked as though Vince and the McMahon family would keep on to their legacy.

 

Then, on December 26th 2013, it was announced that Joseph Cristian Taylor, twenty seven year old Australian business man and entrepreneur, had seized the company and taken all financial control for $145,000,000. He has been unable to reach for an interview, however he has stated on record that Vince, Linda and the whole McMahon family will continue serving as the face of the WWE, and that he in no way will include himself in the television shows or PPVs.

 

We may not know much about this new deal, nor what it may hold for the future, but fans, pundits and even superstars alike all know this much; 2K14 will mark an unbelievable year for the WWE.

01-01-14 Upcoming Event Card

2014 starts with a bang! Matt Hardy, Hallowicked and UltraMantis Black have been officially confirmed as part of the WWE roster, all three of them signing their one year contracts today! Plus, Vince McMahon has declared that there will be a 10-Man Battle Royale with the winner earning a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the next PPV!

There will also be a 3 way tag team match with the winners earning a shot at the WWE Tag Team titles, and Randy Orton will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a singles bout against CM Punk! Tune in to WWE Main Event, prime time Monday night.

Both superstars involved are very good in the ring, very technical and can work the crowd. This should be a good way to start off 2014.

Ryback and Kane vs Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) vs The Usos (Jey and Jimmy Uso)

With the winning team earning a #1 Contender's Shot for the WWE Tag Team titles, and the makeshift combination of Ryback and Kane, I see this being a very entertaining matchup to watch.
