Help! I can't get the Action Replay Max to work! They're all corrupted! Someone with an AR Max; help!

I've been wanting one of these devices for quite some time, but now I'm really, really confused.

What download device should I get? I've heard most people suggest the Action Replay Max, but will this work will all types of saves? Like on cheatsforplaystation2.com, they have downloads for different devices, like the Sharkport 2 and the Maxdrive. Would the AR Max work for all of these downloads?

Is the device all that I need? Do I need anything else to go with it?

Where can I get these devices?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys.

I went out and got the AR Max Evo earlier today, because so many people had referred it to me.

But I need some help. I can't get the below GameSave to work. (So far it is the only GameSave I've tried.) I get the .max files, I uncrush them and everything, but I can't get it to work! It all goes smoothly until I boot up SDvRAW06, and when loading from the memory card it says something about how the data may be corrupted, and then when I ignore that none of the CAWs are there! Can someone please try to download this save, and give me a step-by-step explanation of what to do and how to get it working?

Thanks a ton in advance!
Umm, i live in Sweden and i was wondering if i could buy the Ar Max thing here , what does it look like ?
This is what it looks like;

I'm going to post my step-by-step process now, so maybe someone can check it and see where I go wrong.

1. I plug in the memory stick.

2. I go here; http://www.cheatsforplaystation2.com/sdvr2k6/tnasavev1.htm

3. Under Volume 1, I download the one labelled "Maxdrive - For NTSC PS2 Systems".

4. I save it to "My Desktop", so that it will be easy to find. (The file is named "tnasavevol1ntsc.max)

5. I boot up "Max Media Creator"

6. I click "Add File" on the left side, and select the file from My Desktop.

7. Under "Output Media", I select USB Drives, L:/ (Yes, I know that this is the right one.)

8. I click the green "Create" button.

9. I take the memory stick out of my computer, and stick it into my Playstation 2, and book up the AR Max PS2 disc.

10. I go right one, and select "MAX MEMORY"

11. Select "My devices"

12. On "Choose primary device" screen, I select the memory stick.

13. I press X to check the "SD! vs RAW 2006" file, press right, go down to Uncrush, press right again and select "Uncrush to MC1", then select "Yes" to confirm it.

14. It reads and writes the file.

15. Once it's done, I press triangle to go back to the "Choose primary device" screen, select my memory card, and check and make sure that the file is there. (The icon is a cube with "X-Port" on it. I don't know if this is wrong or not or what.)

16. I press triangle twice, and press Start. A "Launch Game" screen comes up, and I go over to the icon that is a controller that says "Start game." I put my SmackDown! vs RAW 2006 game in, and press OK.

17. The game boots up. As it is loading from my memory card, it says that the game file on my memory card may be corrupted. It asks if I want to load data from a different memory card, and I select "No."

18. Once it's up and I press Start, it says I don't have a profile. I just press Enter with Profile1 up there, and press triangle to continue without saving.

19. I go into an Exhibition, Singles match, and none of the CAWs are there!

Please help! What did I do wrong? If you can't tell, can you follow these steps and see if it works for you?

(Some other information, in case it matters: Before starting, I had nothing on my memory stick or in fact this memory card. I also have the release date PS2, if that matters.)

Instead of using the Max Media Creator to put the file on the memory card, just drag it to the memory card. That's how I always put files onto the memory stick. Also this may help:

This is pathetic.

This thread has been here for 5 days, and only a couple guys have really been trying to help me.

AND ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS READ ONE POST AND TELL ME WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG!!

But, no, no one gives a crap. This has got to be the most unhelpful forum that I've ever seen.

(Watch, now someone is going to flame me instead of helping me out and proving me otherwise.)

I wasn't going off on the people who have tried to help. I thank them. But I'm going off on every other person who has posted in all these other threads getting saves, but not even stopping for a second to try and give me a hand.

see now i feel the same way, i dont wanna go out and buy a 40 dollar device and then have no use for it. i know we all have lives here, and we all dont like typing, well if i knew i would hook him up. if i buy this, i would like to be able to use the caw saves and stuff. my recomendation is to send wolfgang a PM, he told me about AR MAX. and he creates saves. i bet he can unravel your mess. good luck man
