I’m fine with Charlotte because it was either her or Nia Jax. No one else is at the caliber of Rhea atm, so it makes sense to me.

Jey, on the other hand… Ugh. I’m sorry but this guy is mid card talent. And I don’t like either potential match up.

The only good way I can see this going is they tell the story of Cody and Jey being friends and former tag champs but then they pull the trigger on the Cody heel turn at Mania

I think if they don’t do Jacob vs Roman at Mania they might do Punk vs Roman vs Seth and that’s how Punk gets his first WM main event (night 1)

Oh joy, business as usual with Charlotte, such an uninspired choice. Roxanne would have been a great choice and a unique way to transition someone from NXT to main event mania star. I really hope they don't sacrifice Tiffany to Charlotte, like they did Asuka and Rhea (WM36).

Also Nikki Bella as 30 was a lame duck choice.

While PWInsiderElite.com is still working to confirm details, something went wrong with Drew McIntyre's elimination from the Men's Rumble.

When McIntyre returned to the back, he was "screaming and cursing” that “someone had to get their moves in” at the expense of a number of stories in the match.

We are told McIntyre pretty loudly stormed out of the building and was gone well before the Rumble match ended.

More as we confirm.

As for the Rumble, I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same. Glad to see Alexa again, even though she did barely anything, but ugh.. the dragqueen android winning was as predictable as ever.

The men's winner though.. wow! now that was legit unexpected! So happy for him!

Overall, a decent show, but sometimes it feels like they drag the Rumbles way too much with the expectation of the big stars coming.

Had to work so I’m just now watching the Rumble. The fact that it was Nikki Bella at #30 and not AJ Lee I feel wasn’t worthy of the 70,000+ on hand. I could be wrong on that. I know there’s a diva stan contingent that’s big on Nikki. Just man….everyone thought this was finally the night she would come back….at #30, mind you, so she wouldn’t have to do much other than show up in good shape. Charlotte is the queen nevertheless, so her win wasn’t a surprise too much.

 

Now, I did not have Jey winning the men’s rumble on my bingo card. That was a great surprise, even if he’s just going after Gunther probably. The men’s rumble was very good. My only gripe is that I wish they would’ve chosen the Rumble for Alleister Black’s return, but then I guess you’d have to eliminate him and that might kill some of his initial aura, so well played Triple H.

 

Fun Rumble all around imo. Lots of cool spots.

Black couldn't have appeared in the Rumble, as his contract with AEW hasn't expired yet, apparently.
