Ok so 2K did indeed fix chain wrestling, it was not made for only wrestlers with the style technician, i guess it was just a bug not showing up for other styles. Cause i went picked Roman vs Drew, 2 powerhouse style wrestlers and was able to chain wrestle.

Also did CM Punk vs Cedric a striker and a high flyer and was able to do it

Now that its fixed the gameplay is even better, that chain wrestling sequence is freaking beautiful, especially when you keep it going a long time like i did that video, matches will now flow so much better.

Yeah, this feels like the big addition we wanted it to be now. I haven't really seen anyone do anything too absurd, either. Wrestlers are doing the kinds of things you'd expect them to do, for the most part.

Yeah, the AI is SO much better, just saw this, dude had AI vs AI and it legit was worked like an actual match, didn't feel like AI vs AI at all.

oh yeah i saw that and confirm ai is better

when i did my 2nd myrise playthrough i turned up the slider for submissions to make it easier to speed run through the matches and you won’t believe how much smarter the ai got like they knew i would attempt to fo a submission for an easy win and would exit the ring lol

Now that things are mostly working as intended, this gameplay is phenomenal. Just had a Zayn/Andrade AI match where they started with chain wrestling, Zayn did a schoolboy from the waist lock, they went into the trading leverage pins sequence from the schoolboy, and when Andrade kicked out of the crucifix they went into a strike exchange. From there, they'd built up enough momentum that they started trading big moves. Felt like an actual match, which is exactly what I want out of these games.

Danielle Kamela was Vanessa Borne in NXT.

BTW: aren't we supposed to be able to do intergender matches?

I guess that the GM Mode didn't got the Memo..... <_<

Pwinsider posted an interview with Bryan Williams on friday,highlights are;

- They got the OK to include intergender matches about halfway into making wwe2k24

- The Island was first thought of 2 years ago

- The idea to include New Jack as a dlc came from Nick Khan, who is a huge New Jack fan

- The bloodline match came about late in development and was based on an "online idea"

- Bryan works with marketing to decide the dlc. They also try to get as many new debuts as possible. It was Bryan that suggested Abyss and they try to think outside the box..

- They have excited things planned for New Jack in the game

Well my Rise is audiowise a Mess and the storyline as always VERY predictable.

So I knew that CM Punk will betray me but the commentators calling mutiny sometimes munity and sometimes mutiny and this all together in the same match is off putting and shows once again that they didn't  tested things properly before releasing the game.

One of the things I'm not crazy about is some of the aspects of the Giant Fighting Style.

From 2K19-2K24, they had the Immovable Object perk. It was an ability in 2K19 & 2K20 and in 2K22/2K23/2K24 it was auto assigned to Super Heavyweight Powerhouse Superstars (I think Powerhouse Heavyweights would have it against Cruiserweights too but don't quote me on that).

The Immovable Object perk had great animations tied to it. Any move that they could "no sell" could be thrown but then it would spice into a animation that makes sense for the attack you performed and most importantly, the animations looked nice. For example you could Clothesline someone and they wouldn't fall over and the attacker would step back.

The Giant Fighting style caused them to get rid of Immovable Object and now Giants will have Special Selling for Heavy Attacks and Running Attacks when their shield is activated. It makes the non-Giants throw bespoke animations like a Forearm to the chest, a Chop, a Punch, A clothesline etc even if it's not the exact attack; there's no more splicing. This part isn't really that bad but what I do hate is the forced "WOAHHHH! HOW CAN I TAKE THIS GUY DOWN" stereotyped selling the attacker has to do even if it doesn't fit their character. So stupid to see Stone Cold punch Kane and be frightened, versus 2K19 where Kane would simply barely sell it but Austin wouldn't look like a pussy.

Also Giants seemingly can't Combo? So now it's either Heavy Attack or the so called Giant has to constantly perform a Collar and Elbow Tie Up.

And now you make someone like Rey Mysterio Dropkick Batista? Batista gets knocked right off his feet even it's the beginning of the match because Batista is a Powerhouse and Immoveable Object is gone.

Completely agree, I can only guess that they’ve changed it because of inter-gender and they didn’t want the majority of women’s wrestlers being unable to lift or strike the majority of male wrestlers.

I’m all for restricting giants from top rope moves or springboards but the lack of combos is dumb.

People used to complain that the combos were unrealistic. Now people complain that the *lack of* combos is unrealistic. All you can do it laugh.

Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive thoughts. I would prefer a gameplay engine where the combos weren’t as big a part of it, nor the only way to do standing grapples outside of a lockup or a signature or finisher. However, that’s not the gameplay engine we’ve got, the combos are a big part of it, and removing it without anything to replace it is both thoughtless and restrictive to a negative effect on using a Giant.

Yeah, I hate combos, but arbitrarily locking certain wrestlers out of using them is dumb.

I also don't get why we can't assign Irish whip rebound attacks for Giants in CAM. Big men use those moves all the time in real life -- back elbows, shoulder tackles, big boots, back body drops, etc. It's an arbitrary restriction set by people who apparently don't watch wrestling.

We can set individual moves to 'None' if it suits a particular wrestler, but graying out entire move categories in CAM is a TERRIBLE idea. Fans are way better at making accurate movesets than 2K are.

Omg how did no one realize theres a new Stomp for Rollins with a pin combo? But of course in classic 2K fashion you can't set it as a finisher or signature......

You can at least get him to do it (under AI control) with the new "favorite" feature? That's one of my low key favorite (pun intended) things they've added this year. The AI is using a lot more of the moveset as a result.

It’s been in since 2K23, and whilst it’s a nice animation it doesn’t really suit Rollin’s stomp anymore than his current stomps

Nah thats definitely new, i don't remember a leaping stomp from behind with a pin combo.
