I think it's safe to say these were planned for 2K24 DLC at one point, probably being replaced with Pat's friends. Link to comment

Yeah, the matches have a much nicer flow with chain wrestling. Hopefully they continue to tweak it. We're finally at the point where different styles of wrestlers genuinely feel like they wrestle differently. Link to comment
GuntherMark Posted March 7 Report Share Posted March 7 Only took me a couple of hours to unlock CM Punk '10 in MyFaction, the only persona card I care about at the moment. His attire parts are now unlocked in CAS too making current CM Punk alts a lot easier to make. Link to comment

I have no doubt they were being worked on for 2K24, there's no reason all three of them would have unused attire parts and/or a persona card for a barely different look, especially since Sol's parts ended up in 2K24. Whether Pat's friends are the reason are unknown, but we know they were only added at Pat's insistence so it's not that much of a stretch. Link to comment

Parts have been in these games ahead of the wrestlers for years. This series is always in development. Having parts/moves in the files doesn't mean anything was "planned". GuntherMark Posted March 7 Report Share Posted March 7 Well it's an assumption based on the fact that the Pat McAfee pack wasn't planned or wanted by 2K and a low amount of NXT wrestlers in last years pass. I don't recall attire parts of anyone that could conceivably and usually would be DLC being added in an update before, nor why 2K would make an unused alt for Je'Von Evans or a persona card for Kelani Jordan of all people. Vaguer, and Grace weren't big stars coming into WWE, this year's DLC might have looked similar. People aren't buying a season pass for Lexis King the way they did for Nakamura years ago. There's a big NXT presence in the game this year, they're just not DLC because they're not marketable enough at this point to sell as DLC. Link to comment
