Well it looks like I won't be unlocking Wrestlers from Showcase, and I will be unable to download certain CAWs from CC as a result. What is it with them and multi men/women matches being a *censored*ing chore?! I rage quit the women's MyRise in 2K24 due to that MITB match! I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE those matches!!!!!

Good thing this game has at least a solid base roster because CAW mode is borked.

i hate mitb matches in general. just curious do you have to win it or is there a cutscene that triggers the win. 

why they’re obsessed with mitb matches when the mechanic is clearly flawed i will never know

The MITB match itself is not bad, I actually like the new ladder match

 

But the objectives while the AI interrupts you constantly is just a pain in the butt

I actually played a bit before work and goddamn that training was long lol it was fun tho the ladder match mechanics seem pretty cool. i’m gonna give the new/old submission mechanics a try in actual matches to see if i’ll go back to the buttom

mashing when i get home and do the showcase. and play around in the island.

 

Im dreading those multi man matches tho they make me rage quit every time lol

the last one i was forced into i can’t remember if it was 22 or 23 i turned the stun and rollout duration all the way up

Anyone know where the apron destroyer is in movesets? I've looked at the apron, rope & springboard sections and can't find it.

No but there is one where u have to do a strong grapple on Becky in the corner and one where you have to do a carry move on Carmella, and a damage Natalia in 40 seconds

Having played a bit more, I'm pretty annoyed with how they've implemented chain wrestling. The fact that only technicians can initiate it makes absolutely no sense. Imagine if they rolled out strike exchanges last year, but only strikers could initiate it. It should at least be expanded to high fliers as well, and it should have a tendency slider like strike exchanges has.

Some people I talked to on 2K discord said that they were able to do chain wrestling with wrestlers who aren't technicians.

You can chain wrestle if you're not a technician, you can't *initiate* chain wrestling unless you're a technician. That's my understanding, anyway.

I finally got the AI to chain wrestle! Turned up AI grappling a little and turned down AI striking and combos a little. Not sure if that helped or if it was just chance.

Not getting nearly as many of the cool fatigued animations so far. Hope they didn't nerf that.

As long as one wrestler in the match is a technician anyone in the match can initiate chain wrestling. Like i played CM Punk vs Finn Balor and could not chain wrestle at all cause he's a striker and Balor is a high flyer i think. So i went and did CM Punk vs Cody and Cody is a technician, and as CM Punk i was able to then go up and initiate chain wrestling.

Again its just so stupid, i don't know if 2K could update it in a patch for anyone to be able to chain wrestle but we need to ask and see if thats possible because strictly tying chain wrestling to the technician style is beyond dumb.

Ok, I get it now. At the very least, two high fliers should be able to chain wrestle. That's how they start pretty much every mafch!

Yeah again all styles chain wrestle somewhat, most matches start with a lock up and a bit of chain wrestling, powerhouses do it, strikers do it, high flyers do it, its a base part of professional wrestling, its the foundation every match starts on most of the time and they build from there. 

Be like if they tied combos strictly to strikers and springboard moves strictly to high flyers.

I'm getting AI chain wrestling semi-consistently now, so I'd recommend turning up grappling and turning down striking and combos if that's something you're after. I'm getting fatigued animations now that I turned superstar downtime from 100 to 75 too. I think people were staying down/waiting for their opponent to get up too much to deplete their stamina.  I spectate a lot (especially in MyGM) so AI vs AI is crucial to me.

I do like all of the chain wrestling animations tho I did notice and miss that one animation where if in a side headlock you'd push your opponent off of the ropes where as now it seems like you just shove of the opponent from a Irish whip.
