agreed, the small details shine big here. namely the almost uncanny forearm hair that looks as close to real as can be.

The retro characters look really good this year. If they did as good a job on moves as they've apparently done with characters and arenas, this could be an all timer.

The marketing’s been somewhat abysmal. For example, here’s a reaction for the 2K24 gameplay trailer:

now put that against the same person reacting to the 2K19 gameplay trailer:

 

It’s not hard to see why people look back on 19 so fondly. It was a great game with a great set of trailers. Will 24 be an all-timer? Could be. It’s looking pretty good. I’m just not….how do I say it?….Im not super hyped and begging for release day to get here or anything like that. It just kinda feels like another year and little to nothing has been advertised that speaks to me personally, though I know people were flipping for the new match types when we first found out about them. What’s missing?

I remember a number of people weren't all that hyped for 19 before it came out and saying it looks the same and it's a copy and paste, not to say 19 is bad or anything but it really didn't add anything new, and if 2K20 wasn't a hot garbage mess I don’t think it would be kinda overhyped as it is at times.

I was just going to post that 2K19 didn't get much love in real time. All of a sudden, everyone was all about it once 2K20 bombed. People gave me a hard time for defending it on the old official forum all the time.

 

That said, I honestly think 2K24 is going to smoke 2K19. The only thing 2K19 really had that I miss is chain grappling. The stamina in 2K24 alone has me dying to get my hands on it already, and we don't even know what we can get out of it after messing with the gameplay sliders and whatever "stamina mode" is.

After watching  both trailers, 2K19s trailer does show off more unique wrestlers, plus it shows off the Wyatt compound and Myrise the first few seconds which I think pulls people in more rather than just seeing gameplay snippets. I feel like had we not known and see gameplay of one of the new match types people would have gotten hyped about it more.

Dude Love is back yesssssss unless they “upgraded” his Cactus Jack to his Dude Love gimmick it’s safe to say Cactus is confirmed too???? Hopefully we get this Mankind!

Do any of you guys play these games on PC? This year is the first year I have a PC that is capable of running them and I’m leaning towards PC because of the mods but I’ve seen people say the PC versions have worse lighting and reflections and even worse they’re very poorly optimised and run much better on consoles? Anyone with any experience of this care to chime in?

I'd imagine we will see the return of all three faces of Foley at this point. Can't put it past 2K to add Dude Love and remove Cactus Jack but the head scratching decisions from a roster perspective have been pretty minimal since the reset so I'm pretty confident we will not see any Foley's removed this year

I knew every face of Folley is in the game the minute they confirmed his involvement in MyRise 

It's going to be the cliche "oh you have to learn hardcore from Cactus Jack, fight like Mankind, entertain like Dude Love in order to beat Roman" kind of story

I'd love some proper news, like a full roster reveal or a blog with info on stuff like create modes. Or how MyFaction works this year with the tease of how they'll work in other modes. How the other new matches work etc. We know how they'll work but just give us something to read and get our teeth into. If the game was another two months away I'd get the slow drip feed, but the game's out in 19 days and it feels like there's still so much to know.

once we get to under 14 days, that is when the damn bursts and all the info starts coming out. I've said it a million times, and it bears repeating: This is how 2K Games markets all their games. It's short term bursts of info within 30 days of release.

We know man we know we just think it sucks lol

Anyway the roster reveal doesn't matter to me as I like to go through all the roster once the game comes out (I am a bit old school)

But give us some damn info about the other modes, the game comes out in 2 weeks and there are 3 modes that we know next to nothing about beyond the initial 2 sentences information

That is not true at all. IMO, most people who shit on PC are jealous that they don’t a decent rig to run it. 
 

Yes, a PC “port” can be poorly optimized, but most of the time it’s your actual hardware that is the issue. Never had any issue running a WWE game on my hardware. And the mods are worth it alone. I wouldn’t ever get a console release WWE game again. Especially with shared Community Creations. What’s the point ?

 

Even IF the only mod you wanted was custom music, you can do that on PC and will never happen on console again. 
 

I have a Series X btw, so I’m not a biased anti console gamer.

I'm thinking of going pc next year.  Perhaps just get a gaming laptop like Alienware or some top brand and hope for the best with games for a long time
