dude, settle down. we get it, 'YOU' ...YOU don't like Showcase, so don't play it then. but some of us do like it, so don't generalize and say NOBODY plays it.  I and I'm sure others that do enjoy it just want the mode to be fun and not frustrating at times, like a few matches were this year.

I FREAKING LOVED the showcase in WWE'13 and 2K14. they were fantastic. i enjoyed getting to relive those AE matches in '13 and the historical matches in '14. 

I would love to see a Showcase that is a Superstar dream match type Showcase were it's Legends vs current Superstars where you can play as current Superstars and try to defeat the Legends, then go through it again as the Legends and defeat the current Superstars. like the way Legends Of WrestleMania was.

If you like Showcase, you like Showcase. You are literally the first person I've seen say they actually have an interest in playing through the mode. Everyone else I've seen defend it admit they have no interest in playing it, but insist it's "the only way certain alumni could get into the games". My point is that simply isn't true.

A mode where you simply have to win to advance (rather than the game calling spots to you and forcing you to replicate them) would annoy me far less. That wouldn't really be a historical Showcase mode, though. It'd be more of a Towers mode. I'm not opposed to the old school wrestlers or arenas, I'm opposed to being forced to play through the matches move for move, exactly the way they happened. If you're into playing thought the matches exactly the way they happened, that's you. It seems to literally be just you, though. Everyone else just seems to want the wrestlers and/or arenas. So I think they should just do what most people want and not bother with what most people don't seem to want.

Showcase is absolute useless trash that 100% needs to be taken out next year.

I agree. Showcase modes aren’t executed properly but they are good for getting alt attires which is the only reason I play them.  Hell, I this year everything was unlocked bc of the 40WM edition so I didn’t really feel much of a reason to play it until I found out you have to unlock the arenas. I don’t mind the mode as much but some things are just unnecessary and need an overhaul. They got it right in 14 but this year it’s a chore to get through. Road to Wrestlemania >>>>

I usually feel like that about MyRise and these aren't really all that great but overall they are fun and by far the best they've ever been! I appreciate, like and respect William Regal even more now.

 

The writing must be a big mix of different writers. Some stuff shows a lack of understanding about some characters and wrestling as a whole, a fixation on random original stuff mixed in with good stuff and wwe knowledge

Unfortunately, the days of caw formulas on here and daily active hype during early SVR games are long long gone and probably get even worse by 2K25!

Aaaaand yet again I had to rage quit the female MyRise!! Fatal 4 way matches are a *censored*ing chore and NOT fun. Not at all! They do NOT stay the *Censored* down regardless of what I do!!!

I never thought I'd abandon Universe and focus more on other modes including MyFactioh of all things as I never touched it but now it's all been about Showcase, MyFaction and MyRise while not touching Universe at all!

I'm currently playing Showcase to unlock the WM arenas. Replaying the male MyRise to do different choices.

Yes! thats what i've wanted for years is a 99 DDP with the ponytail and silk shirts

 

The poofy mullet DDP is all we ever get and as you said they always screw it up, change it up and give us 1999 DDP as a heel.

Sorry but I need a proper 98 DDP that’s where my universe is now. And with the hair thing you could make his hair short. 
the 92 DDP we had was perfect for a 98 era. I hate they removed that

they also removed all his good hairs from the game. Considering it’s supposed to be WCW DDP I’m hoping either 97 or 98 and they’ve had enough practice considering what they did with Rude

Luger also is going to need an improvement

Kels made a great DDP with long hair in 19-23 I’m hoping he creates again since he did get the game

Anyone know how to trigger the hockey fight in trading punches? mine always seem to end with me or the AI winning and one gets knocked down and no hockey fight.

It would have been nice having actual WM themes in the Showcase menu when scrolling each match and during matches if they wanted music playing instead of generic stuff. I know not all songs are possible but wwe must own some or 2K can get the rights back or just have sound alikes

The punching mini game is good stuff. Makes me think the chain wrestling we been requesting is coming back better to the series.

I like how all the arenas do the lighting to reflect real life so well this year. The only one that looks off is nitro unless I’m forgetting an era where they had the crowd lighting in blue.

An old and and sad gamer. I will be 39yo when 2K25 comes out and I'm already wishing for Sting to be on that future roster. Was actually thinking about leaving gaming for good because of old age but then 2K24 buzz started!
