I've always thought that reversal should be the pop up you do from an Irish Whip to set up a catching finisher. That way everyone could do their catching finisher to reverse the RKO, or just a pop up where Rollins would get dropped face first. I'm always in favor of open ended reversals that allow you to follow up with something in your own moveset. That way you animate one reversal and it sets up multiple people to use their own moves. More bang for your buck.

I definitely think the list is fake but Gargano is already in the game so he won't be DLC

Yeah. I saw they left him out and then they corrected it. Which is a relief because making him in the game wouldn't he the same as having the real Gargano included

I'm sure we will get a Kane pack one of these days, they gotta come up with easy to make bonus content every year and sticking to stuff within the usable current/legend pool seems to be the priority. Kane is obtainable on whatever the deals 2K pay out or under the restrictions WWE place on them for negotiations, so he clears the only hurdle that seems to pop up these days

Undertaker showcase?

Makes you wonder why 2K haven't pulled a Undertaker for Kane and give us at least 3 to 4 retro models/attires for our big red machine but I think Kane, Taker, Shawn,  Hogan and I would have added Jericho to the list if he was still around are guys who should have muptile attires and or retro looks each year.

Yeah, when it comes to Jericho being in AEW. That kinda screws us from having him  in the game.  Just Imagine If he wasn't.

Yeah Jericho and Big Show are two guys who I kinda wish at times didn't go to AEW since they've been with WWE so many years and so many moments that it feels odd not having them in WWE games.

I agree with Status, that needs changing, the reversal of The Stomp into an RKO needs to only be a reversal for Orton specifically, and everyone else should just move and he stomps the mat when they reverse.

It used to be specifically to Orton in 2K16. But for some reason, they added that as the default reversal for the Curb Stomp in 2K17 an onwards.

we're talking bout a game franchise that has Andre the Giant doing the boxing coverup stance with a Bob and Weave as his dodge move.

realism and reason are out the window

Yeah, Kody I don't blame you for being annoyed with the series, we all are. I honestly wish we had a few talented video editors that could put together a documentary on "The Rise & Fall of the WWE Games Franchise". Going through the Highs and Lows and showcasing all the features we had in the game and the slow regression to an arcade-simulation hybrid that doesn't know what it wants to be. Just to embarrass and bring it global scale would be awesome. Unfortunately, nobody cared enough to do this. :(

Well, with Bryan Williams back, we just might get a moves pack again, albeit maybe not this year. Our friend hates when we credit Bryan Williams as the cover-all guy when it comes to mocap and what moves make it in the game, but let’s face it, they haven’t had Bryan Williams since 2K19 and the new moves category has suffered ever since, so it’s hard not to point a finger and say “Yep, maybe that’s the guy…”.

You can have a long memory about Williams if you want, and that’s fine. But let’s not act like our friend hasn’t been dishonest in the past as well, like I recall him assuring us that Justin Leeper was full of shit when he talked about 2K21 being cancelled and his contributions to the series and whether he had any friends still on the inside who could’ve relayed that info to him. I haven’t forgotten that. I don’t forget being flat out lied to like that. So…just saying….Bryan might be our guy when it comes to New Japan and the joshi stuff I need, among other things.

lol no. 2k20 happened. and then the a reboot happened. and then people decided they wanted different things. nothing to do with him at all - the situation & circumstances changed and one day when it's all over more can be said.

What should Andre's dodge move be in your opinion?

Personally I like the dodging mechanic, you can set up some cool spots if you time it right. It's not perfect and yeah maybe people like Andre shouldn't be dodging and such maybe they could make it ability or something so that not everyone has it. I will agree on fighting stances needing to go or at least make them an opinion to turn them off. I just want tired finshers back in tbh.

I cannot fathom people defending Bryan Williams over.. well, you see him right there.

WIlliams was part of the damn problem in the THQ era, our friend here has stuck around despite all the insanity.

I still have my gripes, but the quality of captured moves has improved across the board with a certain poster's influence. I think people forget how absolutely dire the quality of mocap was from around 2008 to 2013. The moves didn't have any weight to them, for one.

I'm not sure how people got the idea that BW was a big proponent of simulation style games. He did an interview with Dre after the 2K/Yuke's split where he talked about 2K wanting that style of gameplay but he was always more into games that move at the pace of HCTP. When he started working on the AEW game, he again wouldn't stop talking about HCTP. I see 2K22 (and 2K23) as simulation, but I think BW is working with that goal in mind because his bosses are telling him that's his job, not because that's what he wants to see.

And they always came with ridiculous oversells.

I've said it before, i'll say it again. The year that Bryan Williams came out in an interview for the game, and exclaimed that he had requested that YUKES allow him to take over the movesets, was the year the movesets became TERRIBLE.

that was the year that everyone all of a sudden had Floatover Neckbreakers, Michinoku Drivers and the Running STO.

I agreed Kody. While we did get some great moves, the accuracy of the movesets dropped off in a major way. It makes you wonder what exactly what was going on. I know Andrew Everett (Yes. That Andrew Everett) said they are under a lot of pressure, but even then, it's not hard to have someone check over everything. That's basically why 2k20 was such a disaster
