That was happening to me too, at least with loading up the created characters in the select screen. I found that if you put the cursor over the first character and let it sit for a few seconds it loads up the other ones quicker. I haven't had that problem in a while though. Hope it gets fixed for you too. This game is too damn fun to stop playing. I actually bought another copy of it in case my original stops working and am always looking to snatch up other copies if I can find them cheap.
