CRAZY if true

Quote

Riho’s interview on TV Asashi’s Pinkiri.

She was talking about Visa issues that prevent her from coming to America right now and she was also asked how the money is in AEW compared to Japan and she revealed that she is making way more money than in her last Stardom run, saying that she made over 60 Million yen in 2023 ($400k).

Im not surprised the WB media negotiations arent going well. WB has been cutting a ton of stuff lately to save any money they can.

No one even knows if this is true.

The story was spun by a single guy (Matt Belloni) with no sources cited, and apparently that dude is very close with Nick Khan. He literally just claimed that Tony Khan was disappointed with the offer, and referenced nothing to back those claims up. - It was one of the most heavy-handed examples of bad faith reporting I've ever seen.

Then you have Dynamite tonight, which literally has 'House of the Dragon' themed HBO booking for the main event. So...I would take all of those claims with a giant grain of salt.

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) leadership is looking to make further job reductions as a cost-cutting measure, according to a new report. WBD, which owns CNN, Max, TNT and a number of other media properties, is eyeing cuts to its budgets on streaming by hundreds of millions of dollars, Bloomberg reported.

it is true u have to look at non wrestling sites to find it  that why the cut a lot move and tv series production that were already green lit they were trying to save money before they lost NBA  now they lost NBA they  even in a worst position now

right now the WB is 44 billion in debt

But I don't see. Him going good either. Considering AW is not profitable right now, I bet if they cut half the roster. They will be, but all these contracts. They keep pushing out with big money. It's true in any chance for profitr

AEW will literally be making more than twice what they were making when their tv deal is finalized. Those are the numbers that are being discussed. Everything is saying AT LEAST double the amount per year. When that happens, they will be profitable. And being profitable after only five years is no small feat. Plenty of companies never sniff that kind of turnaround.

if it finalized  but will it if they keep siging big number contracts   there currently  almost 200 people signed to the company   is aew not profitable because of that   and they keep signing new talent no it bad sign most biz on average are  profitable after 2 to 3 years 5 is a long time

You have literally no clue what you're talking about. You aren't qualified to speak on any of that.

It's also funny that every time there's some discourse about Tony losing all his money, he does something like donate $100,000 to charity, or pay $250,000 just to play "Final Countdown" on a PPV. - This dude is not hurting for money. And it isn't his "daddy's money" either. (He owns like three other things).

Clown behavior. But, what else is new.

The media rights deal will all be finalized by next year, and people can finally shut up about AEW dying, because it will be doing just fine. There are companies that have been around 3 or 4 times as long as AEW, and still aren't profitable. Movie studios lose money, game developers lose money...it's not an uncommon thing. - Being able to turn a profit at all is a much bigger achievement than most people realize it is...and if you don't get that, it just means you have no idea how the world really works.

I got a feeling aew gets a small raise from wbd but will loose 1 1or 2 tvshows..

Again...why do so many people feel compelled so speak on their "feelings" that are based on nothing?

AEW is the highest performing show that TNT/TBS has/had behind their sports coverage. They are consistently thrilled with the numbers that AEW does. So...why would they lose one or two shows? If anything, they're probably going to be expanding their timeslot, and producing new content for Max.

I could see either Dynamite or Collision moving to three hours. Not both of them...but, probably one of them. I think everything else on tv stays the same. And like I said...the Max deal will likely have new content coming specifically for that format.

RVD confirms that Tony Khan contacted him when he had a deal with wwe and asked him about his wwe deal. How much he made and how long it was for..

Tony claiming wwe been contract tampering is laughable at best when he does the same thing himself..

Asking someone when they might be available to work, and how much they would expect to make is not contract tampering. It doesn't say that he made any offers, or tried to persuade him to leave. - Simply gathering information from someone does not fit that bill.

Being like "Hey, when might you be leaving, and how much would you be looking to make?" is just useful information for running a company and planning potential finances you might need to put aside.

Would be better for the default booker of the year IF he had someone other than himself contacting RVD..

Not sure if you're defending TK or not cause it's still damn funny that he got busted.

Asking a talent signed elsewhere about KEY items about theire contract IS contract tampering in everyone's mind except those with the Emperor's New Clothes syndrome..

It's literally not. And I would say the same if HHH was asking Swerve or someone the same things.

If they aren't making an offer, or trying to lure them away...then it's just a simple case of being educated.

Also...it's RVD. He's not exactly a main player. You can't very well act like Tony is trying to lure away WWE's main event champions or something. Rob basically operates as a free agent. Sometimes he signs little short-term legends deals or whatever...but, his contract status is always a gray area.

Especially with recent news of WWE having people who actually aren't under contract, and are only free agents on a match to match basis (this has been stated)...it absolutely makes sense for Tony to be checking with people who might not even be under official contract. It's not tampering to merely stay informed.

Instead of accusing me of being a TK defender, or having "emperor's new clothes syndrome"...maybe consider that you have strong opinions of TK and AEW to begin with, and want some reason to complain about his very standard business practices.

Seems likely now that Shane McMahon will be involved with AEW in the near future, after a photo leaked of a meeting he had with Tony Khan. - I don't think he should have any involvement as a producer or anything like that. But, I think he'd be great if he joined The Elite as a heat magnet. (A series of vignettes where he just hangs out with the different members and does obnoxious things would be excellent). Sneaker shopping with the Young Bucks. Comparing cars with Okada. Saying "here comes the Moné" and dancing with Mercedes, etc. - Just make him as insufferable as possible, and you've got a gold mine on your hands.

Your trolling tanked when you said this...

Knowing full-well that people like Punk, Danielson, Joe, Edge, and Mercedes have all debuted in AEW already.
