I can't tell if Jericho is still out of shape or in shape now. He has 6 pack abs but his stomach and rest of his body is still chubby/pudgy or whatever

bro i had that same thought that’s hilarious. he looks like somebody pressed them lil plastic cookie shapers into his body to make him look like he as abs

Well depends on whether he wins or not but let's go at the current booking of the casino winners none of them actually ever won a title

This literally means nothing outside of kayfabe. If they wanna make a big deal about that, they could just spin it as "Adam Page, the first Casino Match winner to actually win the title he got the shot at!". Typically these matches are used more as a way to push someone's status anyway (showing Ruby is a star on debut, Archer is a monster, Sky shouldn't be slept on, etc) but with Hangman it was a convenient way to reinsert him immediately where he left off.

It's just... it's not rocket science guys. It's pretty basic writing that happens to be incredibly satisfying.

I don’t really consider coming up with a random gimmick match out-of-the-blue to get someone a title match great booking. Like you said, it’s convenient. If it was something more established like the RR or an annual tournament, ok. But a ladder match they threw on Dynamite with minimum build? That’s not satisfying storytelling to me. It’ll probably get them where they want to be quick and efficiently — I’m not going to deny that. However, I’m not to going applaud them either.

But that comes with balancing fiction with reality. It's not like "Hangman having a child and wanting to go home and support his family" was a story point that was made, it was just life. The Hangman/Omega angle had to hit pause after being very obviously built for All Out, and the Casino Ladder Match was an admittedly convenient  yet very exciting way to reintroduce Hangman into the picture. The match may have come out of nowhere, but it was the anniversary show for Dynamite and it was already being built as a stacked card. The match didn't seem out of place.

Now if Hangman had a regular return and had to work his way back up all over again, the complaint would be "Ugh they're pushing this feud off again?? But we know it's gonna be Kenny vs Page anyway!", a complaint that was already being thrown out earlier this year during Page vs Cage. We don't need Hangman working his way up, we've already had that. We just need to get him right back in the thick of things. This was best case scenario for Hangman's return honestly.

Except that match was very clunky until the end and how many anniversary anniversary shows have aw done so far

But honestly I I would have had Archer win he needs it more than anyone they pretty much screwed them over since he came

Real world came into play, but the response to that doesn’t necessarily have to entail a convenient plot-device to magically whisk him back to exactly where he was before. That’s good storytelling? That’s cheap and low-effort to me. If that happened in some other work that’s very plot-driven I’ll most likely scoff at that. It’s so cheap and shallow. Now I’ll grant you, the fans have accepted this just fine and AEW will still achieve what they wanted. But that still doesn’t make it good storytelling to me (nor do I think him running a 5-month gauntlet of stars is necessary either).

"Smackdown Supersized" is going half an hour longer next week. I love TK but Rampage does NXT numbers while SD averages about 2 million viewers a week lol

Also, who's gonna tell em they go head to head with 205 Live every week? :hqhq:

I love TK and maybe it'll happen someday but it won't be next week and it probably will affect Rampage's ratings. Speaking of TK though, that ECW post show segment was awesome!

Daniel Garcia is very solid talent! CM Punk is getting back into his groove.

Lucha Bros are awesome and I'll especially never get tired of saying Fenix is f'n amazing!

I mean that's big talk coming from him since rampage averages around 600,000 viewers while smackdown averages around 2 million

I still cant believe people dont Throw up trying to make that point, because its that messed up.
Yeah i get that his big mouth talk can get annoying, im disliking this more and more about him.

But Smackdown on a great timeslot barely making 2 million...isnt a strong point.
Especially compared AEW making 600000 regular on a pretty bad timeslot...while being a 3 year old company.

In no way or form is it a good argument that Smackdown in this timeslot, being one of the major weeklies of a global Wrestling company with 20+ years on its back...just makes around 2 million.
For AEW their number is far more than what people expected them to make in its first 5 years...Smackdown just making 2 million is simply sad.

Like i said, i get that people get annoyed at Khan for his constant shots at WWE, i agree on that completely.
Focus on your product and be proud, because you can be damn proud at it.
But let that speak for itself, let the fans do the trash talking.
Keep building AEW up.

Oh right, FS1. That last half hour will be interesting indeed.

If I found the right date, I think the last time SD was on FS1 they did a 1.03. So still a uphill battle for Rampage, but yeah.
