I barely paid attention to the match because it wasn’t a match or feud I was interested in and what I did see (which may have included this spot)  I didn’t like. A lot of these No DQ weapon matches are contrived, boring spot fests with the same spots we’ve all seen before. It doesn’t matter which promotion it is. They both do it.

Agreed.

Ooooh, this is good!

Yeah! Get your bitch ass in the ring!

Punk got Drew good there! Oh shit!

He can count!

Hell yeah! Make these two interesting!

*Censored*, that was great. Punk was on fire. That whole segment actually felt like a genuine interaction between people rather than scripted entertainment.

Fantastic but now how can Rock turn back face after all this at this point? I mean it would be different if he was a full or at least part timer but I just don't see him switching back like nothing at Wrestlemania like I thought.

Will need to do a lot of rebuilding all over again by Summerslam as I assume that's the plan now to do Rock vs Roman

I see Roman getting to Rock first. Maybe either at Mania or right after. I think Roman will blame Rock for losing the title or get paranoid or figure out that Rock was playing him. Once Roman beats down Rock, all Rock has to do is cut one of his promos against The Bloodline and he will be an instant face again.

Several ways methinks. Rock saves Cody/sides with Cody against the Bloodline, Roman betrays Rock, Roman betrays Rock but Cody saves  him... etc.

People discussing a Rock face turn like he's sticking around. Lol

Dude is out the day after Mania.

That's my point, he's leaving soon but I doubt he'll just stay heel and he'll likely come back in a few months or next WM to face Roman or just some kind of appearance

Figured I'd jump in here - watched my first episode of RAW in YEARS last night. Crazy how good that was.

Kinda crazy how much of 2011 is reflecting right now. Between Punk, Rock, Awesome Truth, it's like a flashback to when I was at my peak wrestling fan-ness(?).

Heel Rock is crazy good. Been watching his promos on Youtube and this is so, so, SO much better than his nostalgia run back in 2011-13.

I will say, Punk's promo game was ooooooff. That Vince dig was good but otherwise wow, Drew brutalized him.

This Mania card, on paper, is also looking like the best one in a veeery long time. Just curious - is it looking like Shinsuke, Andrade or Liv are getting Mania matches?

I 100% feel like that parking lot beatdown with the rain and blood should have been on the go-home show.

All along, I've felt like some of these Mania matches were dragging on, or just missing the timing on their storytelling...but, there's really nothing for Cody to do in response to what the Rock did, and it makes more sense for him to go into Mania on a low note than a high one. That should have been the precise final closing moment of the last show before Mania. The last visual on anyone's mind before they actually have their match.
