I couldn't make it through the whole show last night. Kept trying to watch No Mercy and Collision at the same time, but was not really paying attention to either as a result. Eventually chose Collision in the second half. But, I will probably go back and watch the women's title match. Seems like it was very good.

I skipped both. I might check out the NXT title match if I have the time because Ilja apparently won? And maybe flick through the women’s title out of morbid curiosity after seeing a VERY gross pic of Becky’s wound. As for Collision… yeah… that sounds like hot garbage to me, so I’m very likely skipping that altogether. I’m not interested in watching Dynamite/Rampage 2.0. I don’t think I’ll miss much if I just don’t watch that show anymore tbh. We’ll see how that goes.

Yeah she's very good, and she's only like 21-22 so she's got a whole promising career if they let her.

Yeah and I also got my eyes on Jakari Jackson. She has a great look! and I like her gimmick with the Lollipop. I wish all these guys and girls the best in NXT, especially with AEW programming becoming their competition every week. I hope things can move good for them.

I need to give NXT a watch. Chose not to pull double duty last night and only watched AEW live.

That said...my hopes for NXT are quite low. I saw most of the noteworthy clips on twitter...and the overall impression I got was the same I had going into the build. A bunch of random flash-in-the-pan segments with special attractions. Old man Taker in basketball shoes, in a segment that makes no sense for him to be in. Same for Cena. A random Jade appearance just as a visual. A teaser for Pillman Jr (except, not). Meh.

Will watch later...but don't think I missed much just from what I saw.

I have a problem with the fact that WWE has been pouring out lackluster, poorly written in-ring segments, story lines and character build ups and the fans are not taking to social media to make this argument public. Do they really think Bron Breakker on the mic with John Cena was actually good?.....

WWE handily defeated AEW last night in the latest head to head battle.

NXT, on its night, did 921,000 overnight viewers and a 0.30 in the 18 to 49 demo.

AEW, shifted to Tuesday, did 609,000 overnight viewers and a 0.26 in the demo.

The 10/10 edition of AEW Dynamite, which aired on Tuesday against a star studded NXT, brought in 609,000 overnight viewers, down from last week's 800,000 overnight viewers

It's not actually that impressive, when you consider how much extra effort they put into the show, and how little it really did anyway. AEW went up against a show that WWE hyped with a bunch of legends and special appearances...and that show didn't even break a million.

I mean...WWE booked NXT like they were willing to bring anyone and everyone onto the show to win in the ratings. So it makes perfect sense that more people would choose to watch that live. I personally think Dynamite was the better show of the two (by a lot). But...if people were choosing based on what they might miss seeing live...then, yeah...WWE had the outward appearance of unpredictable appearances going for it. - Aside from a very solid looking card for Dynamite with some great matches, I don't think people expected to miss any surprises or big appearances.

I was in a live chat discussion last night discussing WWE and AEW. I made a comment saying that when it comes to Character Persona, Promos, Segments and Character Development, AEW is better and more appealing than today's WWE. One of the guys in the chat disagreed with me. My heart is always gonna be Team WWE but right now I am sticking to my argument that AEW beats WWE over this.

I wanted to hear everybody else's thoughts. One of the guys in the live chat said that AEW is good when it comes to that because the Characters have full control over what they want to do. So basically the talent gets the credit and not AEW or Tony Khan.

I think it’s case by case. Gimmicks should be the person with the volume turned way up, most of the time. Some people need a booker to instruct them on every detail of their character, some can and should be allowed to run with their onscreen character a bit. Overall, it’s a mistake for talent to have any sort of complete creative control imo but I’m not a billionaire booker so what do I know?.. I just think it should be a collaborative effort between people who know what they’re talking about for it to be a success..

I don’t like most of what’s going on NXT these days, but I still think that when a gimmick in WWE sticks, it really sticks and gets crazy over because WWE’s marketing machine is on point..always has been. AEW for the most part is too haha, too much of a rib on the business, meaning there’s too much elbow nudging and winking, so to speak. With few exceptions, I don’t believe what I’m watching. Like I’m an Orange Cassidy fan since the indies when he first started doing the character, but does his character draw new fans in? Not sure. I gave the WWE the edge, no pun intended, as evident by how huge they can make someone like Jade Cargill or Cody Rhodes look. I never used to watch AEW just for Jade, and I now find myself watching entire blasé WWE programs to get a glimpse of her. Very telling to me.

I definitely would not have put AEW over WWE when it comes to this particular subject if we are talking WWE 15 years ago. I'm not saying the personas and talent in WWE was bad five or so years back but baby when it comes to Personas? Gimmicks? Promo Skills? Overall talent? WWE 15 years ago could own every mother f**ker in AEW.

For example, TRIPLE-H.....I was never a fan really, he was never my top 5, BUT when it comes to his persona of being the biggest A**hole on God's green earth? Who could compete? Who could deliver like him? It's all about convincing the fans and the audience that your character is believable and I feel like AEW is performing better than WWE. I still love WWE and I feel like there is plenty of talent to go around, but I just feel like they gotta give me more, I need more, let me see it.
