Former WWE Superstar Tyler Reks is making a gender transition to female.

According to a new press release issued on Thursday afternoon, Reks is beginning the transition to female. Now going by the name “Gabbi Tuft”, the reveal will take place on the February 5 episode of Extra TV.

The full press release is below:

NEW YORK, February 3, 2021 (Newswire.com) – From Gabe to “Gabbi”. Gabe Tuft, a former WWE superstar, (ring name “Tyler Reks”) makes a long-awaited gender reveal exclusively on Extra TV. With a flair for flying kicks, quick takedown tricks and flowing dreadlocks, Gabe Tuft was once the WWE Superstar “Tyler Reks”, a tough pro wrestler who made opponents quiver. To the cheer of millions of adoring fans, he battled in iconic WWE mega TV events seen across the wrestling world such as Raw, SmackDown and WrestleMania. But Gabe gave up all of that WWE fanfare to spend precious time with two of his most loyal fans: his wife Priscilla and their little daughter. To Gabe, getting more time to be a dad to his daughter was priceless. It was the main reason why he left the WWE.

Together with Priscilla, they created “BODY SPARTAN”, a fitness company with an app to positively transform the body, mind and spirit of men and women through targeted video workouts, nutritional programs and motivational sessions. Despite his successes during and after his WWE career, Gabe was still wrestling with a secret persona dwelling deep within him. This is a persona he has been hiding in the loud silence of his soul since childhood. Finally, with the blessing of his loving wife Priscilla, Gabe is ready to reveal who he really is. “He” is now known as “She”: A beautiful, wise, witty and wonderful woman called “Gabbi”.

Gabbi is about to share her thrilling story of gender transitioning from a former WWE Superstar, Body Builder, Fitness Guru, Motivational Speaker and Motorcycle Racer to a fun-loving and fabulous female. She has been finally set free and ready to rule her world. This is a story that wrestling and other sports fans, friends and followers must not miss, especially many in the LGBTQ community dealing with challenging transgender issues, who Gabbi and Priscilla are willing to help. Airing exclusively on Extra on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021. Tune in to your local listing for this exclusive story.

Tuft worked for WWE between 2008-2012 and had various runs their FCW, ECW and SmackDown brands. Tuft was also a one-time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion and a two-time FCW Tag Team Champion.

It's so annoying to see the reactions on social media to stories like this.

I saw it posted by a few wrestling dirtsheets on FB, and the top reaction was the laughing emoji. All of the comments were predictably trash as well. I mean...personally, I don't really give a damn about this news. But, there's nothing funny about it. People are allowed to transition if they want to. I'll never understand why so many people feel the need to use the laughing emoji to unnecessarily mock things online. What pathetic lives they must lead.

I know there's no reason to expect anything better from the kind of people who follow dirtsheets on FB...but it still burns my ass. It's just like those MMA pages that are inundated with far right extremism. There's just something about WWE and UFC that attracts these idiots.

it’s probably the violence. notice most these people are always goofball he-men. what better way to bring the meatheadedness out than being a fan of the most violent sports? it’s likely they don’t have a personality outside of that.

Happy for her, whenever someone can proudly express who they are, be in terms of gender or otherwise, it makes the world a better place.

I ignored the comment section of everything about this because it doesnt need much imagination to guess how a lot sounds.
I assume the violence and this alpha male mindset is feeding their insecurity.
MMA and Wrestling have something animalistic about it somewhat, stroking the animal in humans or some childish crap.
But yet they lose their minds because someone expresses who they are, which doesnt fit traditional social norms.

Its always funny seeing those clowns getting upset about such things, while acting like the toughest and hardest.
