Mani-Man Report post Posted November 28, 2020 The interview was really neat, especially since it shows how passionate Brian Williams is about this all. That he documented everything from attires to moves etc for yukes since 2019, shows that the man really wants this to be good. Interesting is that he said the models arent nowhere near finished, could mean they will get more detailed and proportions might change...i like the idea. I do think there is a lot more possible with a more stylised visual look, as we can see with the wwe 2k games...the super realistic style can be a bit of a problem. It doesnt take much for such a style to feel unnatural, which can hurt more since they aim for super realistic. I just think you can be more unique with something like the AEW game. Which makes me think about how the Caw community could benefit from such a style, especially those with original caws. We will see. Wonder how this No Mercy/HCTP mix is working out. Of course the fact that face morphing and importing textures will be in this game, is already hyping me up so much. Cant wait to see the options of the create mode and seeing what will be possible. Man i wished we would get more WIP material already. Not only for this, also for the wrestling code and so on...i cant wait for 2021 and all the stuff we might get to see in terms of wrestling games. A N T I - Report post Posted November 28, 2020 (edited) I didn’t hear the part where Bryan confirmed anything about importing textures. Seems like it would be too early to tell. It would be great, but we have to take into account that this isn’t going to be a WWE game. This is something brand new, like completely starting from scratch. I wouldn’t expect any of the advanced features we get in WWE games like importing textures via our computers, but I hope I’m wrong. We should be surprised with anything we get. I think Smacktalks was wrong to assume we’d for sure be getting custom logos but it’s definitely something that would help the community. I wonder why the Dre41 video was pulled. BrandonX Report post Posted November 28, 2020 I'm going to vehemently disagree with the idea that you can do more with the silly stylized graphics, and I absolutely disagree with the notion that realistic models are somehow only a WWE thing. Not only could I see that severely limiting the creativity of CAW makers, but it could date the games graphics so much harder and quite frankly I think if you want to compete with 2K, being different just for the sake of being different is a dangerous path to tread. A N T I - Report post Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) I’ll give it time and see what the models actually look like. I think it’s an interesting move if they decided not to go photo-realistic with their art style. It certainly isn’t just a WWE thing, as The Wrestling Code appears to be trying to go photo-realistic as well, but it’s not a reason to bury the entire game just yet. It didn’t look that bad..Omega was just jacked-looking. WWE games had that problem of making everyone look unrealistically jacked for years. Again, I’m not expecting the end-all, be-all wrestling game, I’m not expecting caw mode to have much to offer, im not expecting a huge, full roster. People are expecting these “WWE things” because Yuke’s was a past developer and I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment. They aren’t seeing this as a completely new endeavor. It won’t even play the same. I’m expecting something fun, new and refreshing. They’re asking the right questions and the right people are behind the game making process. I think we will ultimately be in for a treat. Edited December 5, 2020 by A N T I -

BrandonX Report post Posted December 14, 2020 Hopefully they capture more than just a handful, one of the worst non-bug issues with the 2K games is the rather lazy audio design.
BrandonX Report post Posted December 30, 2020 We're supposed to get something after Dynamite today, though I don't know if the Brodie Lee situation may change that at all.

A N T I - Report post Posted January 7 He said the console game could take 1 year or it could take 2. There’s no way of knowing at this juncture. I’m glad they’re taking their time. I guess 2K22 is the big game we have to look forward to this year. Hope it lives up to the hype.
