Casuals would probably try it if it was on Game Pass...but, I don't see any non wrestling fans giving a single damn about this game at full price or even discounted. Maybe if the customization was really good...then they'd be inclined to jump into the antics with their personal creations. But that's certainly not the case. The creations are so basic and barebones that I don't think formulas are even a thing, tbh. - From what I've seen, you will have a handful of presets, and that's it. (It's really bad). - Not expecting a throwback to the caw days of the old WWF games or anything like that. And that's probably the exact reason why there is also no CC option...(because it would be a waste of resources). You aren't going to need to share specific slider numbers, for example...you will just have part 1, 2, 3, etc. As for the section...yep, there damn well should have been one months ago. Its def a really good base and first entry into a franchise. still a little wonky-ness and bugginess i hope they can patch quickly . As far as A.I spamming the same move over and over. Or getting knocked down and not being able to get back up unless u are picked up. Lots of basic moves missing. No Superplex? no running shoulder block. I really dislike that they dont let u edit the Skills/Abilities of the in-game roster. Hopefully that can be unrestricted via a patch. And much like YUKES WWE games....there are a ton of moves that are locked to only being available as Sigs/Finishers. So hopefully thats patched as well. Also not the biggest fan of there being a dedicated Punch & Kick button. Because lots of wrestlers dont kick. So it sucks having to give everyone kicking moves for every position. But the games so fun and the rosters so good. And the moves that are in the game are dope enuff that those issues aren't stopping me from having a blast playing it. A year or 2 worth of updates, patches, new wrestlers, new attires and a moves pack. For example I tried adding the figure 8 for Andrade as a finisher as he’s been using it since returning on collision. However he’s set to only having two finishers, and if you try and update his skills so he can have a third you just get told “AEW wrestlers can’t gain new skills”. One of the best parts of this game is being able to have multiple finishers and sigs available, so really hoping they open that up, even if it means taking people through Road to Elite to upgrade them. Generations Posted June 29 Report Share Posted June 29 The game will be a fun alternative to 2k23 for a little while...but, there is so much about it that is just not good. I see people complaining about the reviews of 6/10 or whatever...but, that is honestly where I would put it as well. The total package is not there. Gameplay is fun for what it is...but, also not exactly what people thought it was supposed to be. The story mode is quirky and amusing for the first few times you go through it...but repetitive after that. - There are things that remind me of the same backlash that Pokemon got for Scarlet and Violet. (your character standing in front of a jpeg or pretending to eat a photo of food for example). Empty customization. A story mode that doesn't really make sense (Collecting all the belts without really defending any of them and then just being like "yay, I have all the belts"). I don't know...it's fine. It's the worst creation mode I've seen in any game ever. They literally included mask parts like horns and ears, which cannot be added to masks. It's hilariously bad. One of the first things I was gonna do was make a bootleg Jushin Liger. Can't be done, because if you try to add his horns to a mask it says "this part is not compatible" or whatever. It's like...as low as your expectations are...you should lower them even more. Then you'll know how things are. Lol.
