I'd love to the surprised, but I'm guessing it will be dropped like a hot potato once that final DLC launches.

Makes me wish I could wipe the memory of 2K20 from this old brain, been the worst year for the franchise... both with the game itself, and their lackluster promotion.

SVR 11, WWE 12 and 13 had a lot of problems, but they were playable right up to before the next game was released. Unlike 2K20. My favourite WWE game believe it or not, is 2K14. I had fun making CAWs, making logos via paint tool (which I'd love to be brought back) and I played matches online everyday without being noobinated.

The writing was on the wall with promo for the game this fall.  This is probably the most disappointing game of the series... which is weird following 2k19 which I would probably call the best or if not top 3 games of the series to me.

as bad as some of the games have been, I’ve found myself still playing close to release date of next game. This game is the first I’ve stopped playing so early.

I only played a few Matches to test the early caws I had created and gave up right after since it messed stuff up the whole time so I couldnt Play universe or anything else without issues at all.

The caw creation and universe are the modes I Play in every game and both are broken on this one. Never had such a game in the series before for sure.

Beyond dissappointed at this Point. So far that I'll definately won't be getting WWE2K21 if there should be one and if the 21 is as broken as the 20 is then I'll definately quit the series entirely.

Career Mode is a goddamn joke. It's sexist and *censored*ing terrible. IF there is a Career Mode for 2K21? It'd better be realistic and equal (assuming they go with the male/female combo again) and let US give them their names for *Censored* sake!

Rant over.

As 2K21 has to be underway, I can’t help but feel positive about what we are going to get, because they have never suffered such a backlash before. I mean everyone was talking about 2K20....careful what you wish for I guess, because it was for all the worst reasons. I refuse to believe the games that came out when we were kids are as good as wrestling games will ever get. That’s bullshit and based purely on nostalgia. Visual Concepts, now that you know better, let’s turn the wrestling game genre on its ear. Less wacky, this time.

I disagree, they went way overboard on the wacky stupid shit. The old DLC model was just fine and I utterly despise them just releasing fantasy style towers (I mean I hate towers in the first place), and the weird fantasy shit in the career mode is pretty *censored*ing awful too.

So...you’d rather go back to the old system of no new arenas, no new weapons, and only a handful of new superstars and moves? Bump in the Night alone pretty much matches 2K19’s entire output. I can see your point though about going fantasy vs reality, though I feel that goes back to them running out of both legends and NXT guys they can use, so they went with their only option. And looking at the list of guys and girls they picked (Velveteen Dream, Johnny Gargano, Jack Gallagher, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Baron Corbin, 4 Horsewomen, Ember Moon, Lana, S’Moe Joe, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Tyler Breeze, Finn Bálor, Aleister Black, Batista, Ricochet, Sheamus, Cesaro, Ohno, Roode, I’m most likely missing a few but you get the point.) there isn’t much option for past versions that could be useful, most of them have kept the same themes and moveset for their entire WWE careers. OK, maybe you could argue for Shield Seth & Roman, but then people would bitch because of no Ambrose to complete the set. Plus the showcase pretty much covers every edition of the Horsewomen up to the game’s release. Honestly, out of that list, the only alts you could do and cause the least backlash possible are Evolution Batista, Legend Killer Randy Orton and Lobster Head Sheamus. Not much of a DLC there really.

Arenas I won't use because I have no interest in fantasy silliness, I really don't think new weapons should be DLC at all, and what exactly did we get as new superstars? All we really ended up with was a bunch of caw parts slapped on to existing models. At that point, just make CAW part packs and skip the needless bullshit.

The old model was fine but if they're worried about running out of content, support more move packs and focus DLC on story content that doesn't read like it was written by some developers five year old child. How about story add-ons for My Career or the 2K originals (without forcing them to be *censored*ing tower mode), how about add-ons for universe mode? aformentioned CAW part packs, move packs, original music packs (since we're clearly not getting custom music back).

That said I don't think we're even at risk of running out of wrestlers to put in as DLC in the first place. Most of the NXT UK roster, plenty of the NXT roster. Hell, work out a deal with their affiliates like EVOLVE to get some of their non-NXT roster in the game, why the hell not. But this fantasy horseshit isn't fun to play, its only useful for adding CAW parts and moves that feel unnaturally sped up.

The old model wasn't perfect but I sure as hell enjoy it more than this, almost none of the content being released in it is content i'll use or enjoy.

3 of the 4 arenas aren’t actually THAT gimmicky. Pin Drop Plaza works really well for empty arena matches or “before the show” stuff while Southpaw works as an 80s PPV and Overlord’s Colosseum is a great Indy-esque venue. And why can’t weapons be DLC? As for new superstars, admittedly we only got Fiend and Sea Creature that could count as fully “new”guys, and even Fiend’s just an alt of Bray. And a lot of them are new models in their own right. I can’t see Wicked Aleister Black or Demon King Finn Balor using the original template.

Not going to argue about a story add-on for MyCareer, though what could they add to Universe? New match types? Possibly, but not enough to make a DLC on its own.  New belts? Already added some this year.  And we’re getting our moves pack in with the Originals, same with the custom theme stuff.

Given how WWE treats NXT: UK, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that there was a flat no on putting any of the people in, barring a very tiny handful of selections that were in last year (Dunne, Moustache Mountain, [barring Trent, who got a bit of backlash for not being in last year] Dar) or that they REALLY like. (Rhea, Toni) Also, any Indy guy not under a WWE contract is a pipe dream. And for the remaining NXT: US guys, all it takes is a veto from either the WWE or the talent themselves to not have them in. See the Ciampa/Cross/Kendrick controversy last year. Honestly, it feels like the route 2K had to take seeing as there was no other option. And I think the moves being awkwardly sped up was a glitch, and lot of them have been adjusted to more natural speeds.

I understand your view on it not being fun, but I do feel it was 2K’s only option for this year, lest you want them to intentionally hold people back for DLC.

Once again I wasted one hour of my time downloading a huge patch that fixed almost Nothing, went to the Image uploader and it's still the same issue as Always, you upload Images and they won't Show in game.

Nothing fixed on this Department.

According to People that tested a lot of other Things almost all issues are still in the game. A Long list of supposed issues that were "fixed" only to Show that they did something when the only Thing they mainly did was fix like 3-4 Things and serve us a huge bag of lies on the other Things. I'm done wasting my time with this shit seriously.

Honestly good or not, once this last DLC is out I'm glad they'll be done with it and can just work on not *censored*i g up 2k21.

They’re going to *Censored* up 2K21. I don’t understand how anyone can have any optimism about the next game.

Look how long they have been patching this game, with the big backlash around it and lower sales. Look how many updates we’ve had. They don’t know how to use/fix the engine. If they did, this shit would be sorted by now. Same as any other game that has a bad launch.

I’ll lay down a bet right now. 2K21 will be *censored*ed. 2K22 or possibly 2K23 is built on a new in house engine made by Visual Concepts and the WWE 2K franchise will be starting from scratch with everything.
