What match types do you want to see in AEW?

They already have the Casino Battle Royale, what other unique gimmick matches or tournaments do you want to see from AEW?

Trademarks for BattleBowl and Bunkhouse Stampede were filed for earlier in the year so we can probably expect them.

I'd like to see them use a variant of the Dome of Death/Domo de la Muerte (TerrorDome/Steel Asylum in TNA) and maybe the Cibernetico.

I would love to see them keep it simple, and only bring in the big stipulations for the last match of a feud. I wouldn't mind if they brought back the 3 tierd steel cage match from WCW, with the only difference being that the top tier would contain a championship to retrieve.

Im pretty sure you can copyright a match type. I think WWE had to like pay MLW before using War Games because they owned the rights.

Also the fact that nobody else has done the Ultimate X match which is easily one of the most entertaining match types in existence should be enough confirmation

Feel like people don't use Ultimate X cause its so damn dangerous, so many bad back bumps.

They just snuck in Lethal Lockdown into NXT...the rest of TNA's gimmick matches will follow. :shift:

Yes, I know the Ambrose Asylum was done before all the TNA agents got signed lol

I guess I expect variations of most "normal" stipulations. But the key would be to tie the matches with members of the roster and represent them in ways that seem unique to that person. For example...you could take a four-corners Texas bull rope match...combine that with a steel cage match...label it as "Hangman's Gallows". There's a noose in each of the four corners. Winner is the first person to "hang" his opponent from one of the corners. Obviously this would be something Adam Page could introduce as a blowoff for a big feud.

Except it wasn't lethal lockdown because there is no roof

So NXT WarGames isnt really WarGames because theres no roof?

The War of Attrition Match from Warrior Wrestling is a pretty cool concept. It begins as a 4-on-4 match and then once a fall takes place, one team is eliminated. The person who scores the fall gets to choose which of their partners they team with for a 2-on-2 match and then once another fall takes place, another team is eliminated and then the winning team face each other 1-on-1.

I spent the better part of the day writing an essay, and it was really bad. Thank you, more for the right correction. I am satisfied with the result! Quick replies and excellent writing.
