No bother arguing with you, your comparing it to when cable tv became available in so many country's world wide. Hogan will always be the biggest name in pro wrestling argue all you want, he was and still is. I can't wait to Run Wild with Hulkamania in the new game.

Changing the goal post. Great

You know...if you wanted to go the route of taking availability into account, then many wrestlers in Mexico were bigger than Hogan. Including the past 20 years even.

Also...how can you consider the lack of cable TV for Hulk Hogan, but not for the likes of Lou Thesz? Or even contemporary stars, such as Harley Race. Or what about Antonio Inoki? If you want to move the goal posts, you need to keep in mind that suddenly a whole new batch of wrestlers become part of the discussion

Aiden English wrestled at Worlds Collide. Same special Harper returned in and wrestled with his old gimmick, which made the game lol

And the Singh Brothers have been featured regularly on 205 Live this past year.

Damn, Burch not in again? Poor Oney.

Biggest Momment in Pro Wrestling History Hulk Hogan Body Slamming Andre The Giant. Case closed. Now back to the game.

I wonder what these Youtubers will actually show, I got a funny feeling the main focus they will want to show is career mode and Orignals.

I am sure, Harper returned with the gimmick he most recently had and not because he wrestled at Worlds Collide with it.

True, as jobbers, and the mixed signals by WWE are a fact.

Yup...

How is saying the N-word worse than outright physically hitting someone unable to defend themselves? You know how many people get seriously hurt or die due to domestic violence? When was the last time someone dropped down dead after being called the N-word? The fact you just write it off as "slapping some bitch" as if women deserve to be hit says a lot about you.

Umm sorry, VanillaSlice is not wrong. Hogan slamming Andre is the biggest moment in the history of wrestling. Nothing else has ever come remotely close to that. Nothing Rock or Austin has ever done in the ring has come close to eclipsing that moment and what that moment did for wrestling. Case is closed.

Hulk Hogan is the biggest name there has ever been in wrestling, period.

All Ill say on this tangent is that what Hogan said was on a tape (in which Hogan didnt even know he was being recorded and won a lawsuit over), it was a word said. A word that has been said a million times by a million people on tv and in movies. Is it right to say that word? Absolutely not. Should he have said it the way that he said it? Absolutely not. But what has he done about it since then? Well he has gone on tv and apologized, he has gone to the WWE locker room and apologized to all the wrestlers. Many African-American wrestlers and celebrities who have worked with Hogan have come forward and have said that he is not a racist.

Has Austin done any of that? Has he apologized for his actions? From what Ive seen over the years, WWE has always tried to keep it very quiet that one of their biggest superstars ever was an abuser of women.

Im sorry, words are not worse than actual physical violence.

nope. It might be the biggest moment in WWE history. But wrestling history? Nah. Even in the WWE it comes mostly down to the WWE romanticizing it and promoting the hell out of it. Seriously. Get out of the US-wrestling bubble. And again. Yes. Hulk Hogan was the biggest name in American wrestling. A long time ago. Certainly not in the 90's, as much as Hogan wanted to be. And even then...the formation of the nWo was atleast equally, if not more, significant of the history of wrestling. We are still feeling the effects of it. Vince McMahon killing the territories, by actively buying TV slots of over companies. We are still feeling the effect of it. Mike Tyson tipping the scale towards the WWE. We are still feeling the effects of it. Mankind winning the WWF Championship. We are still feeling the effects of it.

Antonio Inoki vs. Muhammad Ali? Pancrase and the MMA revolution? The montreal screwjob?

All of these moments and actions changed the world of professional wrestling significantly, to the point that we still feel the effects from it. Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre, the Giant is WWE marketing. The stuff happening around it? Way more changing the actual history of pro wrestling. Ignoring that Andre had been body slammed several times beforehand, including WWE house shows, it is only fondly remembered because of the WWE making a big deal about it. Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat is still the reason why we expect Special Events, such as WM, to see the wrestler "step it up in the ring". Again. I'm not denying Hogan's impact on the business, but what you guys are doing is totally romanticising and eating up what the WWE is promoting. If you look at pro wrestling from a wider glance, then many less promoted things, had much bigger conesquences to pro wrestling as a whole.

This is not the example of a big consequence for pro wreslting as whole. But it did change the American wrestling scene significantly. Vince Russo booking Jeff Jarrett to retain the Intercontinental Championship, even though Jeff Jarrett didn't renew his WWE contract. Not really big in for itself. But when you realize that this little thing ended up making TNA possible - the promotion that popularized the likes of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and genuinely great in-ring wrestling as its attraction, the thing becomes important. Same with Mike Tyson in WWE or the Bret Hart/Steve Austin double turn. Same goes for names in wrestling such as El Santo, Riki Choshu, Rikidozan, Gorgeous George and many more.

Saying Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre, the Giant is the biggest moment in pro wrestling is quite narrow minded

Sorry, went on an off-topic rant here

If Hogan shouldnt be then neither should lars.

Lars Sullivan owned up to his comments and didn't try to make excuses for it.

It's not the same as claiming "That's how we talked back then."
