LEGION
As an HBK guy, that's why it bothered for a long time lol but I'm used to it now and am okay with it but was just saying I hope the Canadian Destroyer doesn't become like that but it eventually probably will as wrestling changes with the times as it did from the old days to the 80's and the 90's to now Nah. Not really. Moves that drop the opponent on their head will never be common moves. Piledrivers were also spammed way more in the 80's and 90's
Senex Beast
They were used a lot by wrestlers but were effective finishers most of the time
LEGION
They usually were big spots in matches, but not the ultimate finishing move. Especially in ECW. But usually not really as the final moves. Like...The Road Warriors were notorious for completely no-selling them. Random tag-team matches had them quite often. Back then alot of wrestlers had quite the limited movesets and Piledrivers were one of the most commonly big moves in pro wrestling, so they could be sure that their opponent knew how to take them, while also being gauranteed to get a pop in a match for it. It's quite ridiculous once you see the matches that had the Piledriver spot on a card. Although WCW/JCP did it alot more than WWE.
