Graeme Jones
Seriously?! A *censored*ing DRAW?!? 60 mins just FOR THAT?!? Pfffffffffffftttttttt!!
Ziggy Vercetti
Got excited and thought Cole won it all.
Guest
Damn, but I mean, I get it. They want that bump for next Tuesday too lol
AlterNation
It's fine.
PaperThinWalls
Gonna be honest, I was underwhelmed. There just was not enough heat to sustain the whole match with how vanilla and predictable this layout was. And if you're going to book a sudden death angle, then don't book it a week later. So cheap.
Bushy.
Don’t see an issue with it being next week, but I just wasn’t really invested in the match honestly. Wish AEW was on
PaperThinWalls
They advertised a champion will be crowned tonight and... that didn't happen. It's cheap booking. Plus, is anyone really that excited to watch Balor/Cole have a full match one week after they wrestled each for 60 mins? Not me.
Guest
Honestly, they could've maybe done the Ironman match as the show opener, half an hour of whatever, then had Cole/Finn close the show. But again, I get it. Need a reason for people to tune in next Tuesday lol
T-Hell
That was a letdown tbh.
PaperThinWalls
9 hours ago, Fight Me. said: Honestly, they could've maybe done the Ironman match as the show opener, half an hour of whatever, then had Cole/Finn close the show. But again, I get it. Need a reason for people to tune in next Tuesday lol See, this is one of many reasons why the USA network era has not been as good as the WWE Network era, you get this kind of booking. So instead of doing a tepidly, cheaply booked 60 min Iron Man match that entails the sudden death to be directly after the match because that’s how sudden deaths naturally work — what I would have done was bring back the Final Four match type and then do the Cena/Batista double elimination spot. It’s a match type we haven’t seen in forever, so it’s fresh and eye catching. It doesn’t have to be an hour long. And the finish isn’t as cheap because it’s not a sudden death, it’s a spontaneous match to fix an issue that no one foresaw, so booking it a week later is less problematic. To me this would have been way more satisfying than what we got.
BestInTheWorld614
Just read that WWE is using this week and next week to evaluate whether NXT on Tuesday would be better. I don’t think it has anything to do with AEW, just reevaluating overall better spot and day
Guest
Guess Impact would have to move to Thursdays then lol I don't see AEW moving Dark to a different night though.
EJ!
I would love a move to Tuesday tbh. I don’t understand how anybody enjoyed having to choose between the two every Wednesday
PaperThinWalls
In the era of DVRs and online streaming, it's not that hard to find a way to watch each show. So the idea of NXT being moved to a different night makes no difference to me. Now if it means the booking would improve... then I'm all for it. EJ!
I personally like watching things as they air, for discussion and whatever else. It’s like watching the Superbowl (i know, i know) two hours afterwards, I missed all the excitement.
Guest
Not sure if they aired a replay or this is from 10 years ago lol
PaperThinWalls
Called it. Fine match, but it just didn't have the drama to really grab me.

Guest
Didn't expect this to open, great start! Vic forgetting Shinsuke and Joe are also 2x NXT champs. Robert Stone getting attacked will never not be funny.
Guest
Tehuti Miles was basically the new VD on 205 Live and now he got repackaged and fed to Dream for no reason lol KUSHIDA!!!! Well, Imperium...kinda hard to make Breezango the shortest reigning champs when Moustache Mountain only held em for 2 days.
PaperThinWalls
Couldn't we present this in a more believable way?
Guest
It was bothering me that I had no clue what they were talking about when they kept bringing up the pizza thing so I had to look it up. Oh yeah lol
