Lol. Stop posting that hashtag.

Also, that last part reminds me of this shithole. Luckily, this place is not nearly as bad as it was for years...but there was a long stretch when "posting like a shithead" was par for the course here, too.

I'll post what I like. I will post my support of Lars as much as I can. Dude really seems like he's in a VERY bad place mentally after being preyed upon. I do hope he gets the therapy and support he needs, the last thing wrestling needs is another wrestler dying young.

And the worst thing about this is that I feel if the videos had leaked first, then the tweets, like it actually happened, I feel Lars would be getting the support he needs instead of people laughing at a clearly ill man. Honestly, anyone who even thinks about laughing at Lars or using this to take further shots at him should be ashamed of themselves. Despicable behaviour.

I wonder what brought this on? If it's in defence of Lars my respect for Sonya just went up 10,000,000,000,000%, if it's in defence of someone else my respect still goes way up for her.

That's an assumption - we don't know that he was preyed upon. Also, he hasn't said anything publicly since this came out, right?

I agree we don't know for 100% sure, but it's very, very, very likely to be the case. And he has been quiet for months, which in my opinion is a good thing. Last thing he needs is to be on Twitter exposing himself to ridicule.

No, but he privately adressed the locker room and unlike other recent apologies, this one didn't have people of the locker room saying that they ain't buying it.

Him talking about this, might be the reason why

Except you don't know what happened to him.

There is ton of middle ground between suddenly going out of your way to support him with only made up presumptions about his past and ridiculing him more and hating on the guy or whatever.

And it was already very well known that he has mental health issues.

And even though it's ironic due to the scandal with shitty past behavior... I mean, who cares really?

And being "blackmailed" about doing it, lmao.... Why? People can't do gay porn as their own decision? Because they like it? They need the money or whatever the reason is. You could conclude that his homophobic talk was him trying to cover it up in a toxic environment.

Talking about how he was preyed upon and whatever without any clear information whatsoever is making it also harder for people who are always facing the stigma of gay men being sexual deviants.

^ Yes, people do porn because of their own decision. People work as sex workers because they want to aswell. That doesn't mean that being a young bodybuilder or a female wrestler in America in the 60's didn't come with certain requirements to get started or have anything resembling success at all.

People do porn because they want to. Certain jobs are just more likely to pressure force trainees into it.

^ Didn't mean that there was no pressure for that kind of thing at all. And I don't mean to take anything away from that kind of situations at all. I'm sure there is, same as with women in some industries.

That post was not intended as "oh it was his decision, *Censored* him lol"

I'm just saying making solid presumptions like that based on nothing isn't helping anybody.

I agree we don't know 100% what's happened, but the timeline of events can paint a pretty clear picture.

Alright, what is that middle ground? Just ignoring the issue altogether?

Yeah, and?

I can think of quite a few people who care about a man with mental health issues not suffering anymore.

OK, maybe blackmail wan't the right word, but Lars getting manipulated into it in a way Moolah would be proud of does not seem far fetched in the slightest.

I never said people couldn't do gay porn, or any porn for that matter, of their own choice. The thing is though, most of them don't suddenly do a complete 180 and launch a bunch of hateful messages less 5 years later. That to me, makes me think Lars didn't have much of a say in the matter, far more than just being in the closet.

I don't see how if there is clear evidence that points that way, and denying it makes the problem worse. Sadly, deviants exist in all forms. Male, female, gay, bisexual, straight, you name it.

Did someone just insinuate pro-wrestling for women in the 60s is about the same as bodybuilding for males in 2010? I'm sorry but what? He needed money. He took a load. Now he's a celebrity and got outed. It sucks for him, but he did himself no favours saying what he said. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid, but he's an adult, and he probably knew it would come out one day. Certainly explains the ****sucking lisp though.

I don't see why we can't give people the benefit of the doubt, until proven otherwise.

Because, and keep this in mind, Lars Sullivan's worst offense at this point are homophobic comments, that he has already owned up to. Besides that we know only the absolute minimum about him, with all the reports saying he is dealing with mental problems. Based on that alone I think benefit of the doubt is the right route to go and not some middle ground between needlessly defending something or hating it.

Not the same. I did not say that. I used it as an example of people being pressured into sex act by the nature of the industry they are in and that...that is something that is definitely the case in various sports to day. I'm not even going to mention Japanese wrestling dojos as an example. All you need to look at, are the olympic sports, that are always under closer inspections during the olympics, aswell as the porn industry itself. People aren't directly sold for sexual favors, sure. But the (peer) pressure is there.

And pressure and mental problems usually don't go well together.

Benefit of the doubt about what exactly? He himself didn't say anything about it.

We only know that he did gay porn and body building and later on the BB forum made homophobic remarks and racial slurs. And that he has mental health issues, but also have no idea what kind of issues nor nothing.

Other than that it's only just assumptions.

man, you really have to stop with shit like that. "We don't know anything, but we can paint a pretty clear picture". What time of events? What do you know EXCACTLY other than that he did gay porn, bodybuilding and later posted homophobic and racist shit. And about a decade later when he was on the main WWE stage that he has some mental health issues, but don't know anything exact about that either.

There is no "evidence" about anything.

If he claims that he is a different person than before when he posted that stuff and people around him believe him, than yes, I will give him that benefit of the doubt and i hope he gets treatment he deserves and that he does well as a better person.

But sorry, making crazy theories about sensitive issues about a persons past on the internet is not my cup of tea.

And I said what I said about mens gay porn and making assumptions on it because it is still a huge taboo for men.

And the assumptions are what I am talking about

That's kinda clear.

I have no idea where you are getting at with this post.

It's made out to be like gay porn was something wrong that he did. That is my whole point.

---------------------

Also, I tried looking it up, but I can't find anything. there is actually little to no info about what he was allegedly involved in, other than "adult content of homosexual variety". That's literally it. And that could be a dozen of things. Nvm, people on reddit say it's legit hc porn.

So you're telling me, that doing porn, then suddenly doing a 180 on it and making hateful tweets a couple years later is normal behaviour?

As for that bolded bit, he did issue an apology to the locker room right after the messages were first discovered which, unlike when came crashing down hurt inside for someone else brother, didn't have people calling BS on it. As a matter of fact, I remember Titus O'Neil actually tweeting and thanking Lars for his apology.

That's what I am saying, ain't it? I don't know the guy so I can't make a clear decision what kind of person he is. But due to the apology and the people around him that believe him, I'm giving him a benefit of the doubt that he is and will be a better person.

Where did I say that is normal behavior? What the *Censored* man? Stop making shit up.

Looking back at that, that was very poorly worded and I apologise. I'm trying to figure out how to word my point and I'll edit this post when I do.

Right. Take two:

I dunno, I just feel like doing gay porn and then doing a 180, it just doesn't sit right with me, you know?

So hes a homophobe AND a hypocrite.

I don't think he is a homophobe. I think he's in major denial about himself about his past or his actual sexuality.

EDIT: Of course he did say very homophobic things (which is undeniable and inexcusable), but I think those phobic comments might have come from less of a state of belief, and more so denial.

Yeah, I think it is more likely that he is in major denial about his sexuality or has serious regret about starring in gay porn than him being blackmailed or bribed into into doing it.

That is quite a leap to get to that scenario with the little information we have.

Ryderfan always finds the most indirect route to a conclusion.

"Blackmailed" is not the right term.

And I agree...he's likely in denial about his own state of mind, and is projecting feelings about himself onto the gay community. I mean...what scenario would exist where someone could be blackmailed into doing gay porn? I'm pretty sure the act of doing the gay porn would be the exact kind of thing that would be used to blackmail someone...not the other way around. He might very well have agreed to do the porn when he was young and didn't really think about what he wanted or what he was doing...but that's not "being blackmailed" into it. That entire concept is just bogus on every level. He could have been blackmailed/extorted after doing the video/s...by someone who demanded money. But, that's not to say that he did gay porn because he was "forced" to against his will...which is what Ryderfan's opinion seems to be...

Out of anyone on this forum, you know it would be RyderFan defending this guy. Its almost comical at this point with how predictable it is.

RyderFan pretty much already cleared the situation. Don't know why you feel the need to fhrow in some fuel right now.

Also...what do you mean about "defend the guy"? The dude did gay porn back in the day and left homophobic comments a few years later. That's being discussed now. No one is excusing the comments he made
