Impact Moving To Pursuit Channel In 2019 *UPDATE* And Twitch!

TORONTO | LUVERNE IMPACT Wrestling, a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp., announced today it has entered into an agreement to broadcast its flagship weekly two-hour program IMPACT! nationally across the U.S. on Pursuit Channel, the most widely distributed outdoor network and one of the fastest growing channels in the country.

 

Beginning on Friday, Jan. 11, featuring the aftermath of Homecoming, IMPACT Wrestlings first marquee pay-per-view event of the year, IMPACT! will air weekly on Pursuit Channel on Friday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET.

Never heard of this channel, I hope I have it lol I was thinking maybe they weren't happy with the move to 10pm on POP, but looks like they're keeping the 10pm slot on Pursuit. Interesting.

Yeah never heard of the channel either. Seems like every year they move to another channel. By this time next year they will be on Animal Planet.

I've heard of Pursuit. It's basically a outdoor/redneck channel. Plus, Anthem has partial ownership of the channel. Plus, I heard it's a placeholder until they get a bigger TV deal

They should just go to El Rey. LU is already there and they might benefit from each-other on the same channel.

Impact Wrestling VP Don Callis says the move to Pursuit Channel will be good for the company, as it allows them to produce a sexier and edgier product.

 

Callis briefly spoke about the move to Pursuit on the latest episode of his podcast Killing the Town. "A lot of fans thought, Wow, you guys should be on a different network with a different demographic so we announced this week were moving to Pursuit which is an exciting thing for me," he explained.

 

"Its a great strategic move for us," he added. "And I think people are going to love to see a sexier, edgier, maybe even a little more hardcore IMPACT Wrestling. Im really, really pumped about that."

Impact renews with Twitch! Great news! Now on the TV side of things, hopefully this AXS TV deal turns out to be true.
