kidd0
Former NWA President Bruce Tharpe announced this evening that Jose Lothario has passed away at 83 years old. Lothario, real name Guadalupe Robeldo, is probably known by modern fans as Shawn Michaels trainer who appeared on WWF programming in 1996 and 1997. Lothario was a big name in the 1970’s and one of his biggest feuds was in 1978 against Gino Hernandez. He was one of the most popular names ever in the history of Houston Wrestling. Lothario is a former NWA World Tag Team Champion, a 1-time NWA Tri-State Louisiana Heavyweight Champion, a former WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Champion and he won several titles in World Class Championship Wrestling. We send our thoughts and prayers to Lothario’s family. http://wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/jose-lothario-has-passed-away/?fbclid=IwAR1wDMTvaevPsoStjYQm97mFINfusSYxQorH399Kmz5NOmwaLSRXYFSaCk8

maskedmaniac
I think he was a regular opponent of Mil Mascaras too. RIP Just checked this and he actually was NWA tag team champions with Mil Mascaras. Also I wonder if he had more students worthy of mentioning or if Shawn Michael's was his only famous student.
