if you coutn wrexham the same as carlise we did lose to carlsie at home last year (last place) so you could count it as an extra point there but we shuldve won that. but eh, we usually tits it up in front of 20k+ and lose every big game so we probably lose this last season and previous seasons? still feels like points dropped

wrexham fans were some of the best ive seen at the macbok at least, though uwotm at half the chants being about england at the euros.

at least james mcclean didnt score or anything.

I think it's a pretty reasonable reaction. we had something like 9 wins in a row against Charlton before this. think its our first loss to them in like 25 years? (and weve played them a lot in that time across prem-l1). its a game we won last year, and lost this year, so that's pretty telling to have us not 3rd this year or higher. cant be losing so early too, means we're already playing catch up. I mean I guess we lost to Leyton Orient last year and beat them this year so it evens out but eh - we've been awful in these opening 3 games. Our only goals in the first 3 games are from goalkeeping errors (gk dropping the ball on Adebaijo. I'm not confident)

Bolton fans said all pre-season that we would be so awful this year we'd come bottom half but everyone outside Bolton insisted we'd win the league or come top 6 and well there we go. Four games, four awful performances, and only 2 goals that came from goalkeeping errors. If this keeps up, we'll be in the bottom half of the bottom half. Even in the second half of last season we were awful. So yeah, lost to a shit team today that we beat 7-0 last season. Good times.

That win over Albion in pre-season must feel like a long time ago now. Losing at Charlton last week was one thing, but losing at home to Exeter... Is there any pressure starting to build on Evatt?

a lot fans want him gone. I'm neutral on it, but if he can't change things around he needs to go.

 

fun fact: we actually only have 13 wins in the last 35 games. The form we were in the first half of the season we shouldve won the league. weve been awful for like 9 months. Even when wed smash Exeter 7-0 and Ofxord 5-0 we wouldn't look *that* good and would usually follow it up by now scoring for 5 games

I'd put this start as worse than the 5 consecutive losses we started league 2 with. Funny how we got promoted that year

I only noticed earlier that after his heroics in the play-off final, Josh Murphy left Oxford for Portsmouth this summer.

Yup and hes not played for them because he got injured! 

I kind of knew he was leaving when it got to late June and he hadnt re signed a contract extension.  

He is nearly 30 so I suspect we offered him a lesser contract

Well, even with Josh Murphy in their team for his Portsmouth debut, Albion were still too good for Portsmouth. I'm not getting carried away, it's only five matches into the season, but admittedly I would rather be in Albion's position than Cardiff's.

Yeah, it was very enjoyable. I had to settle for watching it on TV as I couldn't get a train to Fratton today due to works being done on the line. Portsmouth doing pretty much the opposite of Oxford and Derby so far, although they have had some difficult fixtures to start the season, and I'm not just talking about today.

I keep saying to people that for us all of the games have been difficult,  it's a step up and I'll be honest I thought we would struggle

Well we won a game. We’re even 4-1 up at HT. But Second half was actually quite poor. Could’ve been 6-6. But scoring 5 after the dross of this season and getting the win, hopefully it’s a “season starts now”. Beating Reading 5-2 in consecutive seasons is a bit weird. 
 

after the 4-0 loss last week some staff got fired and the captain was changed so quite a bit happened (also seem to have reverted to last seasons formation)

We lost 2-1 to Bristol City,  second half was all them to be fair
