Won 2-0 against Shrewsbury away just about, back up to the same points as Oxford in second now and 3rd on GD. Just need Oxford to slip a little more so we can jump into second. Goals were from GKing errors so prob shouldve been 0-0. Need to be better against Blackpool. Also puts us four points above 4th with a game in hand lmao and 8 points clear of 7th. Top 3 are the ones doing well this year compared to usual, shame it's not three auto slots

We also have Oxford and Portsmouth in back to back games in 3 weeks...

We can also go top on Saturday if the results go for us and we win, I suppose

Blackpool were pretty clearly playing for a 0-0, what a dire match for most of it. Former Blackpool player with a 30 yard screamer out of no where to decide the game. Good 3 points that with them having been in the Championship last year. With Portsmouth dropping two points that now puts us only one point off 1st place. Still third though...darn you, Oxford, go back to being shit for at least one week

After Exeter we play Porstmouth and Oxford - first and second - that sure is going to be spicy. If we can win both of those that should hopefully set us up to win the league. This next few weeks will be very very important going into who gets into the top 2. If only it was 3 automatics, this years top 3 are so far ahead of everyone else and still even have a game in hand if it keeps up like this all 3 could be more than 100 points. So one of you stop plz

Went to our away game at Orient yesterday,  we could and should have scored a couple more.  We don't have a game until 25th now, was due to play Pompey next week but postponed due to internationals.

Looking forward to the 28th, that will show us where we are. Hopefully we'll have a new manager in place then too.

I too went to watch my team away from home yesterday, a frustrating 2-1 loss at Southampton.

Had you been to Brisbane Road before? I have never been there, yet - in the 30 years that I've been watching Albion, they've only played Orient once, in a midweek match that I was unable to attend.

Also, on the subject of Oxford's search for a new manager, I read a report earlier that Frank Lampard is supposedly the frontrunner for the job - how would you feel about becoming Frank Lampard's Oxford United?

I went back in 2015, we drew 2 each with them then. It's a quirky ground, apartment blocks on 3 corners and the away fans at the side of the pitch in a corner lol.

I wouldn't want Frank Lampard to be honest,  we've been linked with the Notts County manager or John Eustice who was at Brum.

What a day for the Wanderers of Bolton. Win 7-0, Pompey lose 4-0, and Oxford lose to bottom of the table. Top of the table, wahey, hope to stay there for the next 29 match days. Next up in the league... Second place Pompey and third place Oxford. If we win those we could literally go 8 points clear of them both. Prob not gonna happen and I'd take a point against Pompey but a lad can dream...

Until yesterday, Ipswich were unbeaten since August, had not lost away from home since January, and had scored in each of their last thirty-six league matches. Then they came to The Hawthorns.
Coincidentally, Ipswich's last loss away from home was against Oxford.
The only negative was that I suffered a puncture on the way home, which delayed me by about three hours, and so I only just made it home in time to watch Survivor Series.

Funniest thing about the Ipswich game was that it was so foggy at our place by the end of the game, we couldn't see our second goal! It was right in front of us too!

0-0 draw isnt what we wanted but it keeps us top and we didnt lose. porstmouth up next after some cup matches

shouldn't have used up all our goals against Exeter I guess.

Would have taken a point before ko so happy with that, also a clean sheet. Think we proved why we're up there, 2 good teams.

you did seem kill us for most of the match but then we killed you for the final 1/3rd. a draw was prob fair. just s shame we couldnt go six clear, better result for you than us

Albion will be at home to either Aldershot or Stockport, depending on who wins their reply-- probably Stockport. It would have been more interesting the draw had been the other way round.

There is now a railway station by the stadium in Coventry, which I have used each of the last two times that I've been there. Have you been there before? I think it was only a few seasons ago that Coventry were in League One with Oxford, weren't they?

Yeah I went in October 2016 when they were in our league,  drove that time though as it was a Tuesday night.  Looking forward to it as it will show if we can actually compete with championship teams.

I watched your game on Saturday in the bar before our game,  only got going towards the end! Lol
