Back in 2015, The Mountain Goats promised theyd record a tune for Sasha Banks. It might have taken a little longer than expected, but Sasha finally has her song.

In Song for Sasha Banks, John Darnielle, Jon Wurster and Chris Stamey tell the story of Banks journey to WWE.

Darnielle, the groups front-man, wrote on Bandcamp saying the song took longer than expected because he wanted to learn more about Banks history.

Adding, Ive learned enough about where she came from and how she got to where she is now to say with confidence: the sky is the limit for you. Your walk is just beginning and the day will come when all your setbacks look like steps on a ladder.

This all started after the four-time RAW womens champ tweeted Wheres my song @mountain_goats? in response to a wrestling-inspired album the group released.

There years later, The Mountain Goats fulfilled their promised.

Darnielle finished his message on Bandcamp writing, Dedicated of course to Sasha and to everybody whos even had a hint of what it looks like when your dreams start pushing their elbows through the gauze into the real world of blood & sweat & bone.

Triple H spoke to Give Me Sport while in the UK this week for the WWE UK Title tournament said WWE will have a huge announcement on womens wrestling coming very soon.

Triple H spoke to GMS with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. According to GMS reporter Alex McCarthy, Michaels added that he doesnt think an all-womens pay-per-view or even an all-womens brand is too far away at all.

No word yet on what the announcement could be related to but the second annual Mae Young Classic is expected to be announced in the next month or so as it will tape in early August.

For a while, it seemed that WWE officials were planning for Dana Brooke to receive a major push. She was aligned with Charlotte Flair during her heel run and it seemed to be only a matter of time before she became a huge babyface. Unfortunately, those plans never happened and Brooke has become completely irrelevant on WWE programming.

The Women’s Division is full of great performers and athletes, but it’s difficult to watch someone like Dana Brooke just sit on the sidelines. She’s got a great look and can hold her own in the ring to at least get some decent matches. However, Brooke took to social media last night to complain about a lack of ring time, which has gotten some attention.

It seems that she’s not only being kept on the sidelines on Raw but during house shows as well. Obviously, WWE officials don’t consider her to be a priority. Honestly, she was struggling a couple of years ago, but it’s even more difficult with performers like Ember Moon moving to Raw after WrestleMania. There might not be a spot for her anymore.

Unless something changes, the expectation is Dana Brooke would be future endeavored sooner rather than later. She would probably make decent money on the independent scene, but that’s an uphill battle for someone who’s not even being booked on WWE TV.

Perhaps, airing her grievances on social media will get her some attention from WWE officials and get her back on WWE television. All too often, it just takes a slight change or one opportunity for a performer to make an impact. One way or another, Brooke’s WWE future is going to change. The only question is how long does she have left?

Does Dana Brooke deserve more television time?

Emma getting injured really *censored*ed things up for Dana from the beginning, and it's bad enough that she's gone now. The alignment with her and Charlotte just wasn't clicking at all for me, and Dana wasn't even made to seem the least bit important. She was practically Charlotte's bitch and nothing more.

I'd rather see Dana get more ring time over Lana, tbh.

Dana had back luck going to back when was supposed have a program in NXT with Emma going up against Asuka and Devin Taylor. That was supposed to be Asuka first program in NXT then it got cut once Dana got hurt and Devin was let go.

Since her retirement from wrestling, Brie Bella has become a mother, businesswoman, and has occasionally wrestled in matches like the 2018 Royal Rumble. Most fans expect her to work a program or a match here and there, but a lot of people want to see Brie Mode activated for a longer run on WWE programming and so does Brie Bella herself.

During a recent interview with TVInsider, the former WWE Divas Champion gave a big update about her wrestling career, motherhood, and the current womens division. In a nutshell, Brie has a deal with Daniel Bryan that if no one calls her to wrestle before next summer, then they are ready for their second child. Heres the deal in her own words:

My husband really wants us to get pregnant again. I tell him that in my heart I just really want to come back to have a main story. Whether its a month long or two months, six months. I would love that. My sister and I are really pushing hard. The Bella Twins really havent had a run since the Divas Revolution. There are great teams like the IIconics. We would love to go against them.

Even if I had a one-off, Id love to wrestle Asuka [or] Alexa Bliss. There are so many girls I would wrestle. Even with the Mixed Match Challenge. I was like, Bryan, we should do it if it came back. Wouldnt it be amazing? Im hoping. I told him to give me until next summer. Let me see if I can do something before then. If the boss doesnt want us back by next summer, we can start trying for babies.

Ronda Rousey just got The Boss seal of approval. Add Sasha Banks to the growing list of WWE wrestlers who have slowly but surely became fans of former UFC champion turned pro wrestling rookie Ronda Rousey.

Speaking with with the CBS Sports In This Corner podcast, Banks was asked about the WWEs newest addition to the Raw womens locker room. After some initial doubt, it looks like Banks is happy Rousey is now part of Team WWE.

When I first heard she was going to be here I was a bit like, Thats not really fair. But she has proven that she belongs and Im really excited for her to be here with us. Man, Im a big fan of her.

Banks continued

To me, when I watch that match at Money in the Bank, I believed every single thing that she took. I believed that she was in pain and probably she really was. She was entertaining. For me, I feel like she gets it, and I think its because she was a fan growing up. She knows what our audience wants to see, and she makes me feel everything that shes going through. I think thats one of the hardest things about being a WWE superstar, which is making people feel whether shes hurt or not.

How great would a future Banks versus Rousey feud over the WWE womens title be?

Sasha Banks approved. Both of Rouseys matches so far have been universally praised. Has the Ronda Rousey to WWE experiment gone nearly perfect so far?

I was being sarcastic, lol. I don't get what the fuss is over. It's not like the interview made it seem like she literally said something like "I, Sasha Banks, approve". I can't blame Sasha or any other girl in the division for thinking it was initially "unfair", although it's a good decision from a business standpoint.

Sasha was a huge naysayer when Ronda got signed. Much like most fans. Its a testament to Rondas persistence that she has not only proven fans wrong, but her colleagues who had doubts that she was serious or could perform this well.
