"Change the channel heat"...sure. There's always that excuse when a good heel gets heat.

A good heel is someone like Edge, Muhammad Hassan, Triple H .etc

Eva is not even anywhere near their level. She isn't anyone who anyone loves to hate. She is hated cause she sucks at everything. If you suck at everything, then I am more inclined to watch something else.

Do you think Dixie Carter is a great heel?

But Eva was supposed to get heat...and she did....and she did a great job with it. It's not hard to understand. If the crowd didn't care about her they wouldn't do anything, but they enjoyed booing her. It's like saying Vickie Guerrero didn't get good heat. They both took advantage of what people hated about them and they got the desired reaction.

Except RyderFan called her the perfect heel. Which she definitely was not.

It doesn't matter why she got heat. What's important is that she got it...and that she was supposed to. She took advantage of the fact that people believe she sucks, and got heat out of it.

They weren't wrong.

The difference between good heat and bad heat is this: Good heat is when the crowd boos a certain heel wrestler for doing heelish things while still being entertained and invested in the storyline. For example, take when Bobby Heenan or Jimmy Hart were around. They would be annoying assholes throughout the match, being a distraction and annoyance to the face wrestler. However, the fans were invested in the match because of their heelish tactics. They continued watching in hopes that faces like Hogan would overcome the heels, and beat up the manager. That kind of stuff has the fans booing, yet still entirely invested in the product. Bad heat is when the fans boo because the heel at hand is very bad at their job. They don't boo Eva because she got them invested in the face. they booed her because she blows at everything. Godawful wrestler, her acting was on par with Tommy Wiseau, and she overall had nothing going for her. Saying Eva is the perfect heel is like saying The Goon or Gobbledy Gooker were perfect heels because no one liked them. Good heat is when you get wrapped up in a match and/or storyline because the heel is so skilled he/she has you basically in the palm or their hand. Bad heat is when the fans just want you to be fired, and they hate watching you. Pushing someone with bad " X- Pac" heat does nothing but damage to your product. It draws fans away from watching, because they don't want to see such a talentless wrestler be pushed. Imagine if a guy defended The Great Khali winning the WHC by saying " Oh,you just hate him due to his effective heel work!" Wouldn't you just want to slap the guy?

Getting heat for absolutely sucking at your job = Being a perfect heel. Learn something new everyday.

The bar is set high.

Poor Ric Flair, Piper, Triple H, Edge, etc. Put so much so work into becoming excellent at being hated when all they needed to do was be talentless hacks and talk nonsense :(

Eva didn't get "X-Pac" heat though. She just got heat. She also did some great heelish things that you've never seen before. Calling off her match with Becky Lynch on the Smackdown Live debut. Then the wardrobe "malfunction". All were very heelish things.

I don't like the term "X-Pac heat" in general, because it's often used when a heel is doing what they're supposed to do. People used to say Vickie Guerrero had "X-Pac heat", when that was simply not true.

The fact that you're getting heated up over Eva Marie due to her actually being a good heel is quite amusing.

No, I'm literally stating that she's the perfect heel and would have been the perfect role model for the legendary heels had she been born and entered the industry before them. I mean, booed for being crap. All their training was for no purpose.

Evas the type of heel that would have been utilized best by being eye candy for a talented male stars arm. Standing there rolling her eyes at the babyfaces and occasionally chiming in on the conversation when needed.
