In-Ring Stories

Recommended Posts

So this isn't just for me, I'll probably do my own if this gets a good response.

This being a wrestling forum, on top of a wrestling game forum, you guys probably have plenty of fantasy matches and fantasy storylines you have buried deep down (and will stay there until Story Designer makes a comeback), and like me you may have a step-by-step plan as to how they would go down. I'm constantly thinking of weird and wonderful stories and matches for both existing superstars and my Caws.

So this topic is all about that. If you imagined yourself as a professional wrestler or have a dream match you badly want to happen, post it here with all the detail you can possibly fit in, even down to who announces it if you like. I've already got my 5-on-5 Survivor Series match between The Wyatt Family and The New Ministry planned!

Fire away folks! Lets see what ya got.

I have been taken to writing matches from a fan point of view.

Aubin vs Greywolf
The match starts and both warriors meet in the center of ring, staring each other down. Aubin tries to get the 1st strike, but Greywolf catches the punch. Aubin looks in shock as Greywolf pushes Aubin back. They circle the ring before locking up. Almost instantly Greywolf sends Aubin flying back into a turnbuckle. Aubin looks annoyed realizing Greywolf's strength. They lock up again, Aubin not sent flying this time. Greywolf however does began to push Aubin into the ropes, but Aubin breaks the hold and trips Greywolf into the ropes.
Aubin immediately takes advantage of the situation, using the ropes to attack the powerhouse. Aubin uses every dirty trick he can to keep control. He begins to use his technical aspect of his move set to keep The Last Warrior at bay, realizing he won't win the power game. Aubin brings Greywolf up to his feet and chops him. Greywolf seems un-phased however, and tells Aubin to try again. Aubin chops Greywolf again, still unaffected. Aubin looks in shock, but the slight hesitation allows Greywolf to capitalize.
2 clotheslines send Aubin down. Aubin's back up as Greywolf rebounds off the ropes, arm out for a clothesli... Oh wait, Aubin ducks and thrusts a knee into Greywolf's stomach. Greywolf hunches over in pain as Aubin throws an axe handle to his back, sending The Last Warrior in a prone position. Aubin backpedals slightly and kicks Greywolf in the side. Greywolf rolls in pain as Aubin goes for a pin. 1 ½ count before Greywolf kicks out.
Aubin drops a fist right on Greywolf's head before getting him back up on the ropes. Irish whip sends Greywolf to the corner. Aubin charges with a knee to the midsection. Greywolf hunches away from the corner as Aubin gets to the middle rope and delivers a brutal knee strike to the back of Greywolf's head, dropping him. Another cover 1, 2, kickout. Aubin argues with the ref, obviously not happy. He's taking ALOT of time to argue.
Greywolf gets back up and German Suplexes Aubin, sending him rolling out of the ring. Greywolf gives pursuit, brawling around the ring. Slams on the apron, throws to the ground. The Last Warrior has quite the upper hand against The Warrior of Horus. Greywolf looks to throw Aubin head first into one of the ring's steel posts, but Aubin reverses and throws Greywolf into it instead. Greywolf is very staggered, and his dropped on the the ground when Aubin lands a nasty Jumping Corkscrew European Uppercut to the back of his head. Aubin rolls Greywolf back into the ring as the ref counts to 8.
Aubin goes for the pin. Kickout at 2 ½. Aubin hits a leaping fist drop to Greywolf's head. Another pin that is kicked out of at 2 ½. Aubin is getting frustrated. He puts Greywolf in a headlock, trying to wear the big man down. The hold is locked in for quite a bit, with Aubin releasing the hold to attack once Greywolf starts to stir back up. Thing's look bad for The Last Warrior, but he begins to fire up once again. Aubin tries to get him back down, but Greywolf takes the shots with strength. Hip Toss to Aubin. Aubin gets back up quickly, looking to try to stop the comeback, but he runs into a stiff clothesline. Another one, and a third one, with the third one spinning Aubin inside out.
.
Aubin retreats to the corner but Greywold gives pursuit, crashing into the hurt Aubin. With his target seated in the corner, Greywolf prepares for what looks to be a face wash, but as he goes for it, Aubin quickly gets up and dodges, countering with a school boy pin. 1,2, Kickout at 2 ¾. Greywolf gets to his feet but is hit by one of Aubin's vicious knee strikes. Greywolf still stands however. Aubin looks in disbelief that The Last Warrior is still standing. He runs off the ropes to hit another knee strike. Greywolf staggers but still stands. Aubin is getting frustrated, grabbing Greywolf's head and screaming “JUST GO DOWN”
Aubin runs to the ropes again and goes for the knee strike again, but Greywolf catches him and lifts him up for a Warrior Powerbomb. Aubin tries fighting out, but to no avail. A loud slam sound is made as Greywolf plants Aubin dead center in the ring. Pin. 1,2..3. The bell rings as both men lay on the mat. Greywolf stirs up as the ref raises his hand in the air.

Well...I'm just going to copy/paste one of the matches that I wrote for the RP section here, 'cause why not?

Turns out I only wrote one match between real people...

After that promo we return life to the arena. Right as the commentary team starts to discuss what we just saw, we hear a familiar theme playing through the speakers right here in Greenwich Connecticut.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLhu9TeJUtk

Here comes the man universally known as Tyson Kidd. The former WWE Tag-Team champion is out here all by himself. His wife isn’t with him and neither is his best buddy Justin Gabriel. Tyson Kidd cheers the crowd on and after a while they’re buying in as he jumps over the top rope into the ring.

Lillian Garcia

“The following one on one contest is scheduled for one-fall! Making his way to the ring first… from Calgary, Alberta, Canada…weighting 200 and 5 pounds…Tyson Kidd!”

Kidd jumps onto the turnbuckle to hype the crowd up a little bit more. Michael Cole brings up Kidd’s past and how he is the last graduate of the Hart Family dungeon. JBL says that he did actual good research and correct Cole by saying that Viktor of the Ascension was the actually last graduate. Before they can further that argument Jerry Lawler mercifully releases us to a commercial break.

When we return Tyson Kidd’s theme is still playing as he awaits his opponent on Friday Night SmackDown. His theme finally fades away and here comes his opponent.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSzSjYNTOsg

Here comes the last of a dying breed. Here comes the big man. Here comes Bull Dempsey. Without wasting any time he marches to the ring, with the chains around his neck. His ruthless style and his reputation lead to a negative reaction from the crowd.

Lillian Garcia

“And introducing his opponent…from Brooklyn, New York…weighting 300 pounds…Bull Dempsey!”

Dempsey raises his arms up high to another negative reaction from the crowd. Lillian leaves the ring fast, Dempsey’s theme fades away, the bell rings, the referee removes Dempsey’s chains and this match is on!

In this matchup two very different styles and wrestlers collide. Tyson Kidd, a very technical and high flying wrestler, proceeds to circle around Dempsey and look for an opening. But Dempsey is from a completely different breed. He storms right forward and with a simple body check Kidd flies across the ring and through the top two ropes, but manages to stay on the apron. Kidd clearly is surprised by that. The referee shouts at Dempsey and tells him to tone it down a bit. But Dempsey ignores what the referee is saying and leaves the ring by rolling under the bottom rope. He storms towards Kidd, who is still standing on the Apron, but the graduate of the Hart Dungeon manages to kick Dempsey in the face and Bull lands on his back.

Kidd sees his opportunity to gain the upper hand and goes for a Springboard Moonsault to the ringside area onto his opponent. But Bull Dempsey is still fresh and manages to roll himself out of harm’s way. Tyson Kidd lands hard belly and face first on the mat. He’s holding his stomach in pain, while Dempsey easily picks him up and rolls him back into the ring only to go for the first pinfall attempt in this match.

One…!

But the referee can only get down for a quick one count. This match is far from over. Dempsey is clearly angry and immediately catches Kidd in a chain lock. The following minutes of this match have a pretty slow tone. Bull Dempsey is using his size and power well in order to keep the control over his smaller opponent. With Throws, Slams, Drags and Submissions Kidd is unable to do anything. Every attempt of him is blocked with pure strength by Dempsey. The only thing Tyson Kidd can do is kick out of the many pinfall attempts. But that also results in Dempsey getting more and more frustrated every second. He lift Kidd high up in a Gorilla Press position, while talking trash to the crowd and about his opponent. He throws Kidd onto the turnbuckle into a Snake Eyes and Nattie’s husband falls onto his back, while checking his nose. But this time Dempsey doesn’t go for a pinfall attempt immediately. Instead he climbs onto the top rope. The crowd knows what he has in mind and they start booing him. Here comes Dempsey with his patent Diving Headbutt! But Kidd rolls out of the way! Did Tyson Kidd finally manage to find himself an opening? It seems so and the crowd is cheering him up. A “Let’s go, Tyson!”-chant start. But Dempsey is still the first one making it back to his feet. He’s holding his head and checks if he’s bleeding. He’s clearly more upset than before and is about to pick up Kidd by his head. Suddenly Tyson Kidd punches him, rolls through and has Dempsey in a School Boy Pin.

One…!

TWO…!

Thr-!

But in the last moment Dempsey manages to kick out. He really looks shocked here, but before he can fully realize what happened here Tyson Kidd jumps at him with a low angle Dropkick to the head of the sitting Bull Dempsey. Dempsey sits up immediately after, only to go down once again when Kidd kicks him into the midsection. For the first time in this match Tyson Kidd is the one going for a pin.

One!

Two!

But no. Dempsey manages to get his shoulders up in time again. Tyson Kidd is finally giving himself some time in the corner, in order to catch a breath, while Dempsey is slowly getting up. When he sees Kidd resting in the corner Dempsey immediately storms towards him with a jumping corner body splash. He’s surprisingly fast for a man of his size and weight. But not fast enough. Tyson Kidd rolls himself out of harm’s way and Dempsey crashes into the top turnbuckle full force. Kidd uses the ropes for a Springboard maneuver, which he turns into a sunset flip onto Dempsey.

One!

Two!

Dempsey struggles a lot, but manages to turn this move around into a roll up of his own.

One!

Two!

But now Tyson Kidd is the one turning that move around. Kidd also jumps over Dempsey’s leg into a bridge in order to make it harder for Bull to kick out.

One…!

TWO…!

One more time. Dempsey manages to kick out one more time. Tyson Kidd waits for him to get up again. He tries to strike Dempsey with a Roundhouse kick, but the big man ducks under and catches Kidd with a Spinning Powerbomb from behind. He’s not going for the pinfall. He signalizing to the crowd that the end is near. He climbs back to the top rope for another attempt for his Diving Headbutt. But unlike before he’s a little bit hurt. When he reaches the top Kidd took a notice on what he was going to do and the Canadian storms forward to push Dempsey off the ropes. Dempsey lands hart on his man parts, while Kidd hangs over the top rope in order to recover a little bit more from the pain he felt after the Powerbomb. After a while he uses the ropes for an elevated Enzuigiri to Dempsey’s head, before jumping onto the Apron. Kidd slowly climbs to Dempsey and the top ropes from the outside. The crowd expects a high flying maneuver from him and they’re getting hyped for it. Kidd jumps up and wraps his legs around Dempsey’s head for a Headscissors maneuver, but somehow Dempsey is able to stop his move midair. Dempsey gets Kidd onto his shoulders, jumps up high and delivers a top rope version of the Bulldozer. The crowd erupts for this high maneuver, but starts to boo once they realize that this match is over. Dempsey crawls towards Kidd and manages to hook up the leg for a pinfall attempt.

One!

Two!

THREE!!!

Winner: Bull Dempsey

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSzSjYNTOsg

Dempsey’s theme hits as he successfully managed to win his WWE Network debut match against a former WWE Tag-Team Champion. He gets back, while breathing heavily, after a while and the referee raises his hand up high in the air. The crowd boos him while Dempsey looks at his opponent on the ground in disgust. He slowly makes his way to the ropes, before leaving onto the ropes. In the last second he decides to do something different and re-enters the ring. The referee can’t stop him as Dempsey starts to viciously stomp Tyson Kidd. Dempsey’s theme once again fades away as he starts to beat Tyson Kidd down. Dempsey lifts Kidd up again for a standing version of his Bulldozer Finisher, before climbing to the top rope for a third time today. This time nobody is preventing him from hitting Kidd with his Diving Headbutt. The camera shows a smiling Bull Dempsey, before turning to the badly hurt Tyson Kidd. On commentary JBL congratulates Dempsey for his victory and for trying to make a name for himself. Still to come is out blockbuster main event between Roman Reigns and John Cena. On that note we head to another commercial break.
