I made parts of Rey's mask with a rainbow material like the real mask, and here's how. The material of a custom image doesn't and cannot change, but the transparency can. The idea is to have parts, in this case the eyes, cut out so that I can have a material-based logo behind it. If you add transparency to the logo in-game the material underneath will bleed through, but if you keep it at 100% you can make some sweet work. This was a test, but in theory, you could have different parts of an uploaded logo with different levels of transparency to create shading as well.
