A months a long time in lucha libre. I still wouldn't be surprised if Wagner walks/no shows for the bigger pay day.

Rumours that someone is coming back for the vacant AAA womens title.

Sexy Star

Vampiro saying something that Taya was stripped of the title because she didn't want to defend it.

lolAAA.

If Taya goes (or already gone?) is Mundo going to follow?

I'd be very surprised, doesn't he still hold 3 of their belts including the Mega Championship?

Yep but who knows. There's a non-televised AAA taping later this week which has Taya and Mundo booked.

Still sucks that netflix Europe doesn't air the first 2 Seasons yet...

No LU on Netflix down here either. A couple of cool lucha doco's though. One with Solar which had a lot of lucha history and was pretty cool. I haven't watched the other one but think it was more recent and had Shocker in it.

The story that goes how they got the belt back is so absurd.

AAA asked Johnny Mundo to come to Mexico with Taya's championship as they wanted to photograph it. They asked if they could keep it with them to take photos, so Johnny left it in their possession. That was how they quietly got the physical belt back. They then proceeded to strip Taya of the title without telling her beforehand, with the plan being to give it to Sexy Star.

AAA is becoming very boring all of a sudden. Who do they have left? Are they that dumb to let so many big names just leave?

I'm personally not on top of all things AAA, but from everything I do hear, they seem to be pretty shady people to work with.

Not sure where Taya goes from here. She isn't exactly WWE type material, at least looks wise, and she doesn't fit into CMLL's womens division either so I guess it's more indy stuff like ROH and the CRASH, though I think the perfect fit for her right now is in TNA or GFW or whatever they are called now.

The worst thing AAA did was fire Konnan. Konnan was not only the head booker, but also the head of talent relations and the sole talent scout. He's the one who brought in and cultivated talent like Penta and Fenix. All of the younger wrestlers have a close relationship with him. As long as The Crash stays hot and can offer the wrestlers a decent pay, AAA is going to continue to lose wrestlers until they quit screwing them over.

Hopefully. AAA needs some sort of reformation about how they do business overall. They have some legendary superstars throughout the years but haven't done much too amazing in-ring wise in years. CMLL is light years ahead of them overall as a promotion I think in everything except marketing.

During Sunday night's AAA television taping, which took place in Monterrey, Mexico, Sexy Star became the brand new AAA Reina de Reinas Champion after Taya Valkyrie was stripped of the championship because she, according to AAA, "used a choke hold during her No-DQ match with Ayako Hamada." Valkyrie defeated Hamada back in April to initially win the championship.

Lucha Blog has posted the following on their official Twitter page regarding the situation over Valkyrie being stripped of the title:

Valkyrie has also since taken to her own official Twitter page to react to the situation, in which she also announced that she was quitting the promotion:

Man that's a lot of bullshit from AAA's part. Also never heard of Mascara de Bronce until now. If they were smart they would have hired La Mascara and capitalized while he is still popular and have him take the belt from Johnny, he would make a decent if not great champion I would say.

I would love to see Johnny Mundo appear in CMLL, maybe not as a regular but do a tour there where he aligns himself with Sam Adonis and form some sort of pro-Trump American stable. A feud/match between Johnny Mundo and Volador Jr. would be a dream match-up to see and they would have some awesome matches.
