Welcome one and all to the showcase of PRO OMEGA WRESTLING! My wrestling promotion isn't as deep as a lot of other creators, as I usually fill it with my favorite originals as well as my own, but this year I'm going to focus on building a strong core of my own characters. I also wanted to take this time to give some sad news. A few people may remember the creator Matsuyoshi312. Well, Mat as I an some others know him "retired" from CAW making two years ago. He's married now, with a kid on the way and a damn good job over in Japan and simply can put as much time into CAW making as he did. But there's a reason why I mention this. He gave me the blessing of all of his character designs and has left his roster of creations to me.

 

That instantly gives me a boatload of characters to add to the few I make myself. So expect characters like Tommy Tryton, Buliwyf, TEN and Cyn Nister to make glorious returns, with my own spin on them of course. I can hear the crickets starting to chirp, so I won't bore you with more text. Instead, I'll kick off my thread with my flagship male and female characters.

 

Name: Finesse

2nd Attire w/entrance shirt My #1 guy and longest running original. I created Finesse on a whim to be part of the XWA back in 2008. I wanted to make a character that had a street-wise edge to him, but not be the typical "gangsta" character that during the time of E-Feds a lot of Black wrestlers fell into. I drew a lot of inspiration from Oz70NYC's Jayson Jones, who Finesse sights as one of his biggest influences. I based Finesse's looks off of actor Kiko Ellsworth, and his attire has changed over the years, but I keep the white, green and gray color scheme. Back in 2010 when the OVERLOAD brand of XWA broke off to become PWN, I started to really find my stride with the character. He'd developed and on/off relationship with Bianca Dianaco, a heated rivalry with Primo Valiante and started actually building backstory for him. (Up to that point in XWA he had kinda languished. Hadn't really found use for him despite Oz's best efforts to try and push him.)

 

In PWN, things changed when LordVader66 started to go deeper with his guy Dan Ripley. We decided to connect the two characters in being former teammates at Seton Hall University, which gave us the launchpad to create a deep rivalry between the two. For next couple of years Finesse saw some success in PWN, working his way into the world title picture before the hiatus. In the interim I created my own promotion Pro Omega Wrestling (POW) where Finesse is one of the top talents. In POW I've fleshed him out even more, making him the top babyface of the company and a fixture in the world title picture.

 

This year sees him come back with renewed focus on proving he's one of the best in the world. His look ain't broke, so I didn't change much from past versions of him. The biggest changes this year is his hair, of which I went with the O'Dell Beckham Jr. look, and his face which I used a pic of Kiko Ellsworth for the texture (Big-up Thr33x for his face texture tutorial). Outside of those things, nothing has changed. If you've downloaded him in the past he's pretty much the same as he was back then.

My 1st female character and the top rung of the POW Women's ladder. In Vyktoria I wanted to character a female character who was 100% bad-ass, but easy on the eyes as well. This will be the 1st time me ever releasing her, or any of my females actually, as I finally feel I've nailed my craft down in female characters. Vyktoria comes from a broken home, where her father was an abusive druggy and her mother was a stripper. Growing up for Vyk was tough, but she found solace in wrestling. Since she was 14 she idolized Heather Fierhart and dreamed of one day becoming as great a wrestler as her. This dream became her singular focus, as she'd study scoured footage from all over the net, and at 18 years old, dropped out of school, left home and pursued her dream.

 

Taking a job as a waitress and wrestling in community centers and bingo halls with no form of formal training, just what she'd picked up from years of watching tapes, Vyktoria got the attention of Angus Tryton, wrestling legend and father of WEW, XWA and PWN superstar Tommy Tryton. He gave Vyktoria an offer to leave the east coast, move to Minnesota and train under him at his Suplex Factory. Seeing this as her way towards better things, she agreed. Angus and company were astounded at her ability, having not been trained to that point. She took to the ring like a fish to water, and Angus realized he had in his hands a woman who was capable of redefining women's wrestling the way Ashley Diamond did back in 2008.

 

For one year Vyk trained every day, soaking up all she could learn. It would be at a charity show hosted by Suplex Factory and The Monster's Den that she'd get her 1st bit of true exposure, and come face to face with her idol Heather Fierhart in a 6 woman tag team match. Vyk impressed everyone in the venue with her incredible skill and athleticism. Though her side didn't win, she was the talk of the show.

 

A couple days later, Vyktoria got a call from the promoters behind Pro Omega Wrestling. The company was putting an all female brand together, and they wanted her center stage. With Angus' blessing, she'd sign a lucrative contract for Women's Pro Wrestling, a joint female promotion run by Z Entertainment LLC, owners of Pro Wrestling Neo and POW. She'd waste no time establishing herself as a preeminent force of nature. Within one month she'd capture the WPW Women's Title, by defeating Crystal Bayless, Brittany Nitro and Cleo Jones in a Fatal 4 Way for the inaugural title. Coming from the depths, Vyktoria now stands as one of the most fearsome females in the industry.

Ok so, I'm a day late. But as promised, here is "The Alpha Male"

 

Name: Luthor Walken

Height: 6'6"

Weight: 295lbs

Hometown: Buffalo, NY

Luthor Walken is the top heel of POW. I was inspired to create him from Hungrywolf80's Scott O'Dell character, but I wanted him to be more then an O'Dell clone. Luthor's personality is that of a man who thinks he's the best thing walking the Earth. The super macho, brash, headstrong type similar to Adam Cole. Luthor broke into the business in 2010 wrestling under the alias of Ryan Luthor, fresh faced and eager to make a name for himself. But that attitude didn't get him far. At the time weighing 226lbs, Luthor was a traditional mat specialist. A great worker, but nothing about him stood out. So much so that the promotion he began his career in Omni Wrestling Association fired him on Christmas day 2011. Distraught and disgusted, Luthor returned to his hometown of Buffalo with a new purpose: To reinvent himself. A year later, after vigorous training he seemingly transformed himself. The once 226lbs man had bulked up to 295lbs for pure, natural muscle. Gone was the technical precision, replaced by power and aggression. And his return would shake the very foundation of OWA.

 

At a live broadcast in March 2012, Luthor would storm OWA Evolved unannounced. Still unemployed, he would jump the barricade during the main event for the OWA World Title and lay waste to the champion Rhett "The Jet" Gordon and "Mass Appeal" Tavion O'Neal. Standing over both men with security swarming the ring, he'd toss them like rag dolls left and right before OWA's commisioner Mike Harvey came out. Demanding an explanation, Luthor would take a mic and remind everyone who he once was, and show everyone who he is now, dubbing himself "The Alpha Male". Now using his real name, Luthor was signed back to OWA at the behest of Gordon, who wanted payback. His quest for attonement would end in defeat, and Luthor defeated him soundly, and in his 1st match back in OWA he'd capture the world title. His time in OWA would be short though, as rival company Pro Omega Wrestling would make him an offer worth millions. In controversial fashion, just as he rejoined OWA, 9 months later with his contract ending a week later, he'd throw their world title on the floor during a promo, and quit on live television. The move earned him infamy across the professional wrestling world.

 

A week later, Luthor would make his POW debut, an impressive win over Ace Fortune. Within two months, he'd earn a shot at the POW World Title against then champion Shawn Ryan. Victorious, he'd now won two world titles in two companies in just under a year. He would lose the title to Evan Slade in mid-2013, and win it a second time in late 2015, and has held the title almost a year since.
